Will not be going back!!!
I went to Dr. Jacob because she was listed under the northwell system. This doctor has a certain target client and I most certainly am not it. This was my first time seeing her and she was so focused on my weight— not why I wanted to go (back) on birth control. I have PCOS, which she would have known if she would have asked instead of asking if everyone was okay with me being put on birth control (as I was not with my husband, like all of her other patients.) She did not prepare me for her to begin the internal exam (twice) and I was practically in tears. To conclude the appointment she said “okay I’ll put you on the pill and I’ll see you in a year.” I had to ask her what medication she was putting me on and even the woman at the front desk was surprised when checking out that the next time the dr would see me after putting me on a new medication was a year. I will not be going back.

Get thicker skin!
She is an outstanding doctor. She is not there to be your friend, she is there to be your doctor. She will give you the truth and if you are not able to handle that then see a different doctor. Yes wait times are long. She is the only doctor taking care of all of the patients what can you expect? She delivered two of my children and I felt like I was in very capable hands. Personally, I’d rather nothing sugar coated.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience of waiting 2 hours only for a 5 minute Pap smear; without her sharing what she was doing. She had commented that I was too old to have any more children and why I gained so much weight post delivery. No etiquette or bedside manners. Would not recommend this physician.

Dr. Jacob really went above and beyond in making sure I got the best care possible. I cannot thank her enough for really putting in the time and energy that she did. She was available for any questions, advocated on my behalf and truly cared about the health of my baby and I. She is a really kind and knowledgeable doctor- thank you, Dr. Jacob!

Both times I went the wait was close to 2 hours! Dr. Jacobs told me I had a condition but she was too busy to explain it to me so all she said was "we will talk about it when you want to get pregnant." I then went to a specialist who did blood tests and told me I didn't have the condition. When I wanted to change birth controls she was very unhelpful but I was able to speak to her PA. Tzivia (the PA) is amazing! Other office staff aren't so helpful but they aren't horrible either.

~Continued from last review...... I am always impressed at how Dr. Jacob is open to converation and totally incorperates the parents desires into the "plan". She is all heart and truly wants a good experience for all. Her stamina is incredible and I've often overhear the nurses saying that she's like Super Woman! As tired as I've seen her, I have never seen her push a labor, forcing a patient into unneccessary interventions, just so she can be done. (And believe me, sadly this is what many OB's do). She will give a patient ever shot possible at an normal, vaginal birth. She is beyond honest and sugar coats nothing, which is a huge resaon for my respect for her. She treat her patients with the utmost respect be encouraging open conversation at all times. I can assure you that with Dr. Jacob as your provider, by your side, you and your baby are in the BEST hands possible! <3

wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. She is very inpatient, always in rush, doesn't answer your questions. Wait time is long. I had a very bad experience during delivery. I was a first time mom. Doctor was very inpatient, almost screamed at me because I couldn't push the baby out. I ended up having a c section. I spent 3 days at the hospital, and I saw her only once during that time for 10 seconds maximum.

Dr.Jacobs has been my GYN for over the past six years! And why I have waited to write this review is beyond me. I've been blessed to meet a doctor with such great competence and love for her patients. She has delivered my two children and made both experiences worthwhile and memorable. From my prenatal visits, enjoying her staff- Loretta, Kathy, Pat, Saffie, Tiffany and the list goes on... until my actual delivery. My last pregnancy was rough in comparison to my first which was very easy. Throughout this Dr.Jacob paid close attention and administered the appropriate treatment. I value her expertise and admire her knowledge. If you are looking for an OB GYN that has a low rate for c-section and is on top of the latest research- She is that person! She is fantastic!

Dr Jacob is the most trustworthy obgyn/dr Ive ever encountered. She delivered all 4 of my children. With my 1st child she didnt accept my insurance but fortunately our insurance changed by my 3rd trimester so I was able to switch to her. During my 1st visit she right away detected an issue that my prior Dr hadnt realized & Im forever grateful to her because if she hadnt the outcome would have been dreadful. All my deliveries went smoothly. She has a 6th sense & the energy of a super hero. Shes a 1 man show so expect delays but the wait is totally worth it knowing your with a Dr you can trust implicitly. Her staff are all very warm & friendly. Over the years I've gotten to know them well & feel comfortable calling with all sort of questions. During another non pregnancy health scare they were all very helpful in helping me organizing additional testing & reassuring me that everything will be ok. Forever indebted to Dr Jacob & hope she always has the stamina to continue for many more yrs

Dr Jacob I feel saved my life. I had cat scan done. The results were given to the general surgeon and dr Jacob. Dr Jacob called me immediately on a Sunday evening stating she needed to get me in the operating room as soon as possible. She called the surgeon to perform that surgery also Sunday. Appointments were set up immediately. The surgeon she referred was amazing. If dr Jacob did not move the way she did I’m not sure what the results would have been. Thank you for being the dr you are. ?

Dr. Jacob and her office are great. Wife was referred to her by the high risk pregnancy office at Northshore. Wife was at risk for Zika because of travel, baby also turned out to be a breach presentation and Dr. Jacob performed an emergency c section at 36 weeks. Baby boy was 8lbs and perfect. The office staff and her PA are very caring and always available. This is our 2nd child .. if there is a 3rd, Dr. Jacob will be our Dr. Thank you for everything...

After over 15 years a patient, Dr. Jacobs decided not to accept Medicare and left me stranded. I have been looking for a gyno for 10 months now and have not been able to find anyone accepting medicare. I am 69 years old. Disgraceful. Actually it could be very serious at my age since I need more frequent mamograms than normal becaue of dense breasts. It would have been more caring if she grandfathered her current patients on medicare and not accept new ones. So very upset.

Excellent, skilled, knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Jacob delivered my 3 babies and she was my strongest advocate throughout. She is tough, but she is tough for all the right reasons. She helped me avoid C sections because she says what others are afraid to say. Dr. Jacob is truly a gift from God.

I can't complain. She's a little fast paced and tough at the same time soothing if that made any sense. She delivered my baby 6 months ago and I would not trust anyone else if I decided to have another baby. Her staff are lovely!!! The only downside is her wait because she's so good and busy. Make appointments early. Even at 7am there's a wait but it's better than waiting 2+ hrs without a seat
