I found this provider to be disingenuous. He treated my elderly father during two long hospital stays at the VA and both interactions with him were extremely unpleasant. At one point he told us that he had directed his residents to deliberately mislead us (to 'just humor you') about the possibility of transfer to another hospital for specialized treatment. These types of tactics were confusing for us and made us extremely distrustful of the medical team. He never addressed my father directly, and he shouted at my elderly mother and myself following an emergency procedure for my Dad. We had to interrupt his tirade to ask if Dad was still alive. I found him disrespectful of my father's wishes to continue treatment, and his demeanor toward us negative and even frightening at times. We filed a grievance with the patient advocate - I doubt that really does much behind the scenes but he was at least removed from my father's case.
