Very happy with Dr. Carpenter.
Good listener with constructive conversations. Third visit today and I'm feeling most positive.

Thorough and Thoughtful
Excellent. My therapist was thrilled when found out I had him for medication management. I despise taking pills so he is understanding of that and 'prescribes' the non-pharma way before jumping to meds aka different types of exercise, eating at least twice a day, better habits for sleep, etc. Very good at answering questions regarding contraindications and side effects.

Dismissive and unhelpful
After struggling my entire life with an umbrella of anxiety symptoms I finally sought help at 32 years old for what I believed to be adult adhd. I felt like Dr Carpenter completely dismissed my concerns, offered to up my anti-depressant to the maximum amount, and told me to get a second opinion if I don’t change my mind. At one point he even mentioned a mood stabilizer. Saw a female psych MD for second opinion and immediately got an ADHD dx and was prescribed the correct meds. I feel as though Dr Carpenter displayed extreme gender bias and sexism in this situation. Especially when women with adhd are already under-researched and under-diagnosed. Very disappointing but unfortunately can’t say I’m surprised. This is why I always make sure my providers are female. Completely wasted my time coming to two pointless appointments with this physician. He has no compassion.

Favorite doctor
Dr. Carpenter worked with me to find the right medications. We had to work through a couple medications before I found my perfect match. The other doctors I have seen seemed to give up on me, but Dr. Carpenter didn't. I have been seeing him for two years and he is a good doctor.

Listens and gets to the source of the problem. His vast knowledge in the psychiatric field is evident by his accuracy in diagnosing, and he has been more than worthy of my respect and trust. I would recommend him above any and all psychiatrists around. Thanks, Dr Carpenter!

I found Dr. Carpenter to be lacking in professionalism, knowledge, and interpersonal skills. I saw him regularly for several months during which time he made a diagnosis and prescribed medications which made me worse. When I questioned the diagnosis and medications, he said my lack of agreement with him equaled a lack of insight on my part and a behavior that further confirmed the diagnosis he had made: a lovely kafkatrap! When I suggested I might be having SSRI withdrawal, he was dismissive and seemed unaware that "zaps" or electroshock sensations are seen in SSRI withdrawal. He berated me for stopping the meds without his consent, made an inappropriate personal comment, and said this led him to believe I had an even more serious diagnosis that required partial hospitalization! My family and regular therapist were appalled! Fortunately, I got a second opinion from another psychiatrist, who agreed the diagnosis was wrong. 8 months later I am doing very well off all meds.

Terrible patient service. Try to reach Jeremy Carpenter when I couldn’t get on my Telehealth appointment with his office. Jeremy never responded to my email, message, or phone call when I tried to call the office to tell them I could not connect. No one answered the phone even when it states if you have a problem connecting please call our office. I received a phone call a couple days later from the office of Jeremy Carpenter stating he was dropping me as a patient do to me missing the appointment that I was trying to get help from the staff because I could not connect to the Telehealth appointment! I had to wait 3 weeks just to get this appointment, and then he had the nerve to drop me because I couldn’t get into the waiting room for my appointment. I even called 30 minutes before my appointment so it wasn’t like I was waiting til the last minute to sign in. Very dissatisfied with PsychBC and Jeremy Carpenter. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Impatient and rude. I missed a single online appointment with him because I was unsure how to access the call. I sent him a message through the patient portal apologizing for my absence and I received a letter in the mail several days later saying he was dropping me as a patient. Very unprofessional!
