Extraordinary OBGYN
Dr. Slagus is the best OB GYN I have been too. I left my long time gyn after 15 years to see her. She treated me when I was in the hospital, and came to visit me every single day. Including the weekend. She is smart, patient, kind and a great listener. She gives you options as opposed to just telling you what treatment will be. She looks you in the eyes to listen to you instead of typing when you speak. She also remembered my test results from a month prior (when I forgot to bring my records to the office). She pays attention to key details and considers past and present medical history to make an informed decision. She has it all, smarts, bedside manner, and heart. I cannot imagine a lesser review.

MEDIOCRE DOCTOR
I don’t get all the great reviews on here. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Slagus for several years. Although she’s very nice, I feel like she gives VERY cursory GYN exams. I never feel like I get a thorough exam from her. She barely even touches you. And she only sanitizes her hands instead of actually washing them before an exam which I don’t like. The other thing I don’t like is that she’s affiliated with St. Catherine’s which is a horrible hospital. Not impressed at all with her exam skills.

The best!
I've been a patient of Dr. Slagus for the past 3+ years and I could not have wished for a better doctor. She is patient, through and friendly. I had emergency surgery in a few years ago definitely put me at ease while I was a nervous wreck! And even told me a chuckle after the surgery was over. I would recommend her to any of my friends looking for a gynecologist.

Great Visit
Dr. Slagus is a great physician She always listens to my concerns and provides valuable options/solutions to address them. She is also okay with just listening, even when I decide not to pursue any changes or additional treatment. I have recommended her to many of my friends because finding a good gynecologist is hard.

Excellent doctor
I have seen Dr. Slagus several times over the last few years for my annual check ups. She is very knowledgeable and I was very comfortable speaking with her. She answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything she was telling me.

Quick and thoughtful
When visiting the office there is rarely any wait. Staff is always very friendly and nice on the phone and when you arrive in the office. Once the doctor arrives she makes sure you have all of your questions answered and is sure ask if there is anything else in addition that she can do or answer for you.

With a long medical history and anxiety surrounding these issues, I desperately hoped for a compassionate doctor and waited 2 months with anticipation for my appointment. Instead, she looked at me like I was crazy while I was explaining everything as if I was making it up, which made me get emotional and begin to cry from disappointment, to which she responded with slight more compassion because she had to. When I got my test results I missed her phone call. I called back to ask if she could call me back before leaving the office and I was told she would, but I got no phone call. I called again to make sure she did not leave the office (it was going to be the weekend, and like I said I wanted reassurance regarding some topics, one being about HPV16/the status of its effect on me). Instead the receptionist said she left, so I was upset. I called back for an alternative to reach her and turned out she was actually in? When I told her about this she didn't care and was looking to hang up.

I met Dr. Slagus for the 1st time today. After having many drs and 5 kids she is by far my favorite dr. I can say that after only have met her once. I have found my new forever Dr. Thank you for being to thorough and making sure I fully understood and agreed with everything you were explain to me! Highly highly recommend. 1st time I have never felt rushed at a dr. The staff is also extremely kind and friendly. They speak with respect and protect your privacy. Thank you for a great experience!

Dr slagus is by far my favorite doctor. She is so sweet and caring. She takes the time to listen and explain everything. I’ve never felt rushed in any of my appointments with her. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. She delivered my son, and in the pictures of dr slagus holding up my son, she is smiling, she truly enjoys her job and it shows!
