ER
Went to SMH because I was having contractions every 5 minutes. After the medication to stop the contraction's caused my heart to increase I passed out. Due to continuous contractions every 5 minutes I was admitted to the OB unit. Unfortunately I had the experience of dealing with this doctor. She talked down to me and blamed me for passing out because I had a heart issue and didn?t tell them. I have never had a heart issue nor a medical diagnosis of one. Then my cervix began dilating and my contractions were stronger and closer. Her response. ?You?re not in labor? after I asked questions and disagreed she put in a behavior health report about domestic abuse. The reason was due to my ?anxiety? Uhm WHAT!? I have never been domesticity abused nor did I have anxiety. This was out of spite for disagreeing with her responses and treatment plans. She falsified information.

Back in 2018 I had a few appointments at a place for women with dr. Salter and was not a fan. I initially went to see about iud removal, as I was having constant cramping all the time. In her words she asked me if I’d rather deal with this or labor pain. Wow. I had also brought my mother and my 2 year old daughter at the time with me for moral support as I have severe anxiety in doctor settings. My daughter was talking to her when she walked in and she made a remark about how she shouldn’t talk to strangers. Dr. Lipton, dr. Cuadros and Savanna ARNP (especially!!) are all staff I would recommend for your needs.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my very positive experience with Dr. Salter. She is prompt, thorough, and above all else - kind. In a challenging healthcare climate where providers are often pulled in many different directions, Dr. Salter takes the time to come to the visit prepared and knowledgeable about my past medical history, provide a listening ear, show compassion for my concerns, and completes the visit efficiently.

I had such a terrible experience with this doctor and I got stuck with her for the birth of my daughter! Because A Place for Women does a rotation, you get whoever is on call to handle your delivery. LUCKY ME I GOT DR SALTER - UGH! She is extremely condescending, does not like to listen to you, makes you feel stupid, and overall an a-hole. Yeah, I said it. Im not a demanding person and just want respect and to feel like I matter to the doctor. Dr Salter is terrible at this. I do have to say, I had an amazing pregnancy and loved working with Dr Delgado and Dr Lipton. I want to go back but ONLY if I know I never have to deal with Dr Salter again!!!!! I wish I had read the reviews warning of her before I had to deal with her myself :(

Never ever! Not even to my worst enemy would I recommend this doctor. She repeatedly mishandled my sisters well visits (which she had annually) which allowed her to have undiagnosed cervical cancer for an estimated 4 years! Her solution after numerous visits to the emergency room for pain and unexplained bleeding was to prescribe more birth control pills. As it turns out the bleeding and pain were because the tumor was obstructing her kidneys. My sister died 6 months after she was diagnosed at the age of 35. Because she had no kids and no husband we have no legal recourse. At the very least I want everyone to know, stay away from this Dr. Make sure you are with a Dr. you trust and be an advocate for your own healthcare. Trust that you know your body and when something's not right. And when your Dr. doesn't listen to you, find someone else! RIP Stacey I miss you every day.

My daughter is a college student in St. Pete, and we live in SC. She had repeatedly mentioned that Dr. Salter seemed to talk down to her and not listen to her. My daughter had an appointment to follow up on some major pain and bleeding and called to see if I would stay on the phone during her visit. The first 2 sentences out of Dr. Salter's mouth were unbelievably condescending and shaming. I was infuriated and found her another provider.
