Dr. Jennifer Pofahl, MD

Dr. Pofahl is an excellent OBGYN! She is very knowledgeable in her field and is skilled in explaining conditions and treatment options. She is understanding and always willing to answer any questions I throw her way. I would recommend her to anyone!

I'm not sure the previous reviewers are talking about the same Dr. Jennifer Pofahl I know. I've known her for many years and have sent many of my friends and family members to her. She's delivered one of my babies and a few of my friend's babies. She is the most patient and kind physician I've ever met. She really took the time to get to know me and learn about my life. She was present throughout my labor and quietly encouraging, respecting my wishes at all times. I have the utmost respect.

My experience with Dr Pofahl was disappointing. She pulled all nurses out during transition, she did not allow me to be in a partial sitting position, but instead forced me to lay on my back. I had a woman who was there coaching me in safe and natural birthing, and Dr Pofahl heckled loudly over her, basically screaming "PUUUUUUUUUUUSH PUUUUUUUUUUUUSH". She acted harsh and rude to me the whole time, not smiling or using common kindness. When I thanked her she turned around a walked out abruptly.

If you want to have a normal, regular, natural, childbirth, do NOT use Dr Pofahl as your OBG!!! She rushed things along with my labor, making it much harder, painful, and many more complications. It was obvious to me that she didn't care about natural childbirth processes, and seemed to lean towards using assistance and rushing things along, even when the labor was going well. She might be alright if you need a C-section or if there was an emergency situation were things needed to be rushed.

Dr. Pofahl is an amazing OBGYN. She answers questions and listens to patients, particularly when they have a serious and life-impacting procedure such as an endometrial ablation. Dr. Pofahl is the only OBGYN I feel comfortable and safe with.
