Took my 91-yr-old mom for x-ray after a fall to the Methodist Emerg. clinic Basse Rd. The rest of the staff there (reception, nurses, x-ray tech) were all VERY competent & kind. "Dr. O." was neither, in fact, rude. Mom can't hear well & Dr. O was wearing full mask, never pulled down, nor seemed to care if we could understand. After x-ray had been looked at by remote radiologist, Dr. O informed us that mom required surgery & needed to be transported by ambulance to the hospital, because fractured kneecap was complicated by an "open wound" (her words). We were astonished because my mom had two tiny band-aids over a small carpet burn, which Dr. O did not even open to see broken skin. We said we needed to discuss situation with family, & she left us while we made phone calls to relatives in medical profession. We decided to transport her ourselves to a non-Methodist hospital, which assessed non-emergency, referred to doctor's office. Dr. O gave no discharge papers, just wanted to clock out
