Bailed on c-section for vacation 2 weeks prior
Unfortunately, we had a very upsetting experience with Dr. Meyer. We chose her as my surgeon for my c-section after getting pregnant after many years of infertility, a myomectomy, and multiple rounds of IVF. She was recommend in one of my IVF groups, and we met her stating we were looking for someone who was empathic, reliable, and would hand hold throughout my pregnancy and surgery, as I was terrified of anything going wrong after the years of struggle to get pregnant. We scheduled my c-section surgery date when I was 20 weeks along for week 37 due to my previous myomectomy. Two weeks before my scheduled surgery at one of our appointments, she told us she planned a last-minute vacation the week of my scheduled c-section, and that we’d have to have another doctor perform the c-section on that date or we’d have to move it until after she arrived back from vacation. I burst into tears during the appointment in shock, and she said, you can be mad at me, but I have to put my family first.

Go somewhere else
If you have all day to wait for an appointment after you arrive and want to put up with disorganized staff, then this is the practice for you! Almost every appointment I had, I've had to wait at least 30 min- 1 hr. Even for blood draws. But I put up with it because I liked Dr. Meyer and figured if I had an emergency I might be treated like a priority. I was wrong. During an appointment where I had some big concerns, Dr. Meyer was dismissive and seemed annoyed. I don't know if she was having an off day, but I did not get the patient and understanding doctor everyone else raves about.

Jennifer Meyer is completely wonderful. She takes time to answer all questions and gives practical advice. She is thorough. However, the triage nurses are extremely patronizing. I have been a nurse on a medical floor, in the MICU, and the OR. I have taken masters level biology, genetics, pathology, and anatomy courses. When I have (humbly) asked questions about my condition or lab tests, they try to make me feel stupid, and have sometimes informed me incorrectly. I've almost switched MDs
