I’m sorry to anyone who has seen this DR
I remember seeing dr. Howard years ago, and feeling very unwelcome, and judged. When I walked into my next appointment I had put the first appointment out of my head because I was like hopefully I’ll never see her again. I remembered my first appointment with her as soon as I saw her again. I went in to ask about birth control n reg. Check up - what would be the right option for me along with doing research, but I didnt feel comfortable enough to ask any questions because of the way she was speaking to me, her tone, how judgmental she was. I shut down. As she was rapid firing questions at me she did the exam without telling me she was going to be touching me- I flinched . No lube, it was painful. Just very little regard for me as a human. Such a vulnerable position to be in as a client, and I experienced so much trauma with this dr. I hope people read this, and if you see this dr. Howard I hope you reevaluate how you speak to and treat your patients. This is unacceptable. Prayers 4 u.

I left the office in tears.
I am very thankful to have been seen. However, it was an awful painful experience for me. While everyone has a different experience, I just would like to share mine so others may be careful with who they choose for their first experience at the OBGYN. While Dr.Howard has lots of experience, I felt she was not listening very well. She was a bit rough, and had no compassion for someone who has never been to the OBGYN. I would not recommend Dr.Howard for someone who is a new patient and a virgin. If you are looking for a quick appointment, and a doctor who is to the point and has lots of experience she might be the best for you! If you are new and need someone a little more patient and gentle, she might not be the best doctor for you. I left the office tears. I really hope to advocate for new timers...do some research as I should've done.

Please note, your health as a patient is your responsibility. Document your symptoms. Do your research to know what you may expect BEFOREHAND. Come with questions. She is to the point and LISTENS. Didn't ignore my symptoms and directed me to take lab tests (which I expected). I had done extensive research beforehand . She waits until results to diagnose patients. I like that she just doesn't assume a diagnosis then prescribes medication like a lab rat. Also, if you feel as though you're not content as a patient feel free to get a SECOND opinion elsewhere.

I admit I was dreading my visit after reading these 1-star reviews, but I also believe some things in life are subjective. First, this is an affordable-care community clinic. It takes Medicaid=patients who can’t afford to pay. So don’t go there expecting the ambience of a “full insurance” place like say, Columbia doctors. If you’re on a budget and need straightforward preventative women’s health checkups, Dr Howard is a no-nonsense, to-the-point obgyn, clearly with years of experience (she’s 57 - years count). Just don’t expect a lot of bedside manner cuz you’re not in bed (and yes, being poked with a q-tip is a part of getting a Pap smear). You’re in and out and hopefully there’s nothing scary on your tests - she’ll call you if there is, but you can always follow up. I actually felt she had a twinkle in her eye and appreciated focused questions, to which I got succinct answers (that set my mind at ease about my specific issue). You just might have to Google the details later.

Since the very beginning she was completely dismissive. The first time I went to speak about an IUD she handed me a packet and expected me to be happy. When I asked her a specific question about the IUD she told me “it’s in the packet” not showing any signs that she was willing to hear me out or communicate with me as my doctor. My last visit I expected to be able to speak to my doctor about the issues I was having but instead Dr.Howard got upset with me because I didn’t tell the nurse ‘everythi

went in with a specific complaint. She examined me told me nothing was wrong. switch me off a medication i was taking which i had no issues with. The problem persisted so i went back, i knew i needed antibiotics but she refused to prescribe them. Her exams were rough she poked me with a qtip in each exam. And never soveld the original problem. I went to another doctor who addressed all of my concerns reminding me what patient care should be like. She made me feel like i was in the dark ages

I waited for 2 HOURS for my appointment. She did not take me because I had scheduled the wrong type of appointment (I called to confirm before I came in, receptionist said its ok) and did not have my previous doctor forms. I had my doctor forms emailed to me immediately and still could not take me because I needed a full hour. I asked to speak with her for just 15 minutes I need to attend patients who scheduled their appointments properly RUDE & MISERABLE PLACE STAY FAR AWAY
