Dr. Jennifer Hannan, MD

My wife and I began seeing Dr. Hannan from a recommendation in January of 2020. It is now the end of April of 2020 and my wife is now 25 weeks pregnant (due in August 2020). When calling the office to confirm details of our next appointment, the staff told us that Dr. Hannan moved to Downers Grove on April 14th! No notice was given to us that she moved. They claimed a "letter" was sent out; however, we didn't receive any letter, and they should have called to tell us beforehand. Furthermore, she shouldn't have accepted us or any one else as new patients knowing that she is leaving in April. OR only take patients that will deliver before she leaves. So so unhappy with this experience. Now we have to scramble to find a new OBGYN. Wasted time AND money at this practice!

I never had a chance to see Dr. Hannan. I scheduled an appointment and had trouble finding parking with it being my first time in the area. I called to let the staff know I was downstairs and asking for advice about where to park. I was told there is no grace period, and I would have to reschedule although I took half a day off of work for my appointment. I was looking forward to my first visit with Dr. Hannan due to a great recommendation from a coworker. However, I will not be back.

Love Dr. Hannan. I have been seeing her for about 3 or 4 years now. She is very smart, friendly, and overall a great doctor. She is always available and calls back quickly if I need a new prescription called in or need to talk about something. I had a surgery with her a couple years ago and was very nervous, but she talked me through everything and made me feel comfortable before the procedure. Her office staff is also very friendly and welcoming.

Called her office to make an appointment as a new patient, the woman who answered was very rude. She did not answer my questions professionally that I thought it was the answering service. She lacks people skills and has very poor customer service. I have been working in the healthcare field for over fifteen years. If this office has not noticed or taken action about a rude staff member, something is wrong with their operation. I asked my primary doctor to recommend someone else.

Dr. Hannan is a great doctor (and I love her) but the office staff at the practice has always left much to be desired. They are rude and condescending and have always been. Granted it is not her practice, so it isn't much she can do. The second you ask a question, just ask, even for clarity, they berate you about what they don't have to do and what you are actually responsible for. They make it clear that reminder calls are a courtesy. Even the dentist sends a reminder text these days.
