This office does not care about your health
Always have to wait in the office about a hour before going in to my appointment. The office is extremely hard to get in touch with (straight to voicemail, voicemails very rarely returned). Got to the point where I had to go in person to speak to them because they would not call me back about my lab results. Her staff is seemingly incompetent. Also, I am a New Orleans resident who goes to college out of state. Got lab work done in June 2023 and never heard back results, so naturally, I thought nothing of it. Had another appointment in June 2024, was asked if I ever got those results from a year ago. I said no. She then informed me of concerning lab results that would have prompted me to seek further medical care during the school year if I had known. Absolutely unacceptable. Will not be returning, and I cannot believe they’re able to get away with such unprofessional behavior.

Staff is horrible
The staff she continues to hire are consistently horrible. Rude, obnoxious, and either don't give her the messages or she doesn't return calls. I have gone to her for 2 years and with the staff being rude I had to find a new Doctor. When you're sick you don't want to be treated the way that office continually treats you.

TERRIBLE. I had a negative test result from an ultrasound. I called Dr. Garrett's office the day I received the test results and left a voicemail with the test results and asked for a return phone call. Nearly one month later, after countless voicemails and messages left with her receptionists, I have still not spoken with the doctor. Today I had a telemedicine appointment with her. I was left on hold for ten minutes, I called back and insisted on speaking to the doctor. I was then told I had an outstanding balance of $30 and the doctor would not speak with me until I paid.

I have been a pt of Dr. Garrett’s for the past two years. I have been a part of the medical work force and am currently in school to continue being a part of the medical community. Garrett, herself, is a good doctor as well as practitioner. The office staff is rude, incompetent, lazy, and have on multiple occasions demonstrated that the task of figuring out what everyone is going to order for lunch requires a much greater sense of diligence than their actual occupation. Without specifics, I have been subject to a trend of un-returned phone calls, “left voicemail” that was unable to be found on my phone, and the rescheduling of several appointments that somehow, as the pt, I was never made aware. I can empathize with the office staff. I really can. I’ve done exactly what they are doing Even knowing what I know about how hard/tedious the job can be, they are STILL unprofessional, lazy, rude, and continue to compromise the work of a good doctor.

I do not understand why Dr. Garrett cannot find adequate staff. It's been years of dealing with unprofessional and rude people. There seems to be too many of them anyway. If they were more on task, maybe they'd take better care of the patients. It's too bad because Dr. Garrett is a good doctor.

When I visited this Dr. Garrett’s office, I was shocked at the teamwork of patient care they had. I was getting my vitals checked and blood drawn for a checkup when I began to start fainting. Nurse Rocky noticed immediately and gave me something to eat. Two other nurses came in and popped out ice bags and started fanning me. Thankful for this experience and Dr. Garrett’s team!

I would not recommend this doctor. Her inability to have her staff code correctly has cost my family hundreds of dollars. In addition to this failure, despite requesting to be seen by the doctor and NOT a PA. My husband and I were forced to see the PA. The appointments were rushed and hassled. The offices are cramped and you can hear conversations from other rooms. I would not recommend this doctor OR her staff. If I could give negative stars- I would.

I couldn't be more disappointed or disgusted with this doctor and her staff. I just moved to NOLA and am bi-polar with severe depression. Dr. Garrett wouldn't write prescriptions for my current meds even though I had all of my records transferred from my former psychiatrist. In order to be turned down, I was required to pay $250 in appt fees and still do not have needed prescriptions. At the very least, I am certain she and her staff did not have my best interest at heart.

I wish there was a no star review. I have been going to this office several years. I have been diagnosed with a blood clot. Never got an appt. Here it is 2 weeks later I a get a call from someone not Dr.Garrett asking what's going on because there is no record of the clot. There is no record with you all because I have now seen another doctor for this serious diagnosis. Talk about unprofessional and oblivious. Taking my whole family to a new doctor because this is unacceptable.
