I have never met anyone who is as bad at their job as Jennifer Curtis is at being a doctor. Genuinely did not listen to one thing I said. Biopsied me to check for things I already had negative tests for. Forgot to look at my bloodwork and then wouldn’t look during my appointment because “the text is too small and I don’t have my glasses.” Had to practically beg for actual medical testing after she first wanted to just “prescribe” me peppermint extract.

Professional, Knowledgeable and Caring
I’ve visited Dr. Curtis on a few occasions and always felt like she treated me as a person first and listened to me. She then professionally assessed and recommended a treatment plan.

Waste of time
Doctor is only worried about making money and scheduling procedures; no follow up plans were put in place for my daughter. After a second opinion, found out that the medication that had been prescribed was for the incorrect dosage and an additional medicine for the treatment should have been prescribed as well. The issue about the dosage was raised multiple times with no action. Her assist did not show any empathy and kept asking the same questions over and over and the messages were not making to the doctor. I finally received a call from the doctor, and she provided feedback to her assistant who in return took the issue back out on me even though she had left messages in a voice asking the same questions. Unprofessional! I work for a Cancer Hospital where we have a sense of urgency and display empathy with every patient. The treatment that my daughter received was unacceptable. My daughter lost 40 pounds due to her GI issues and the doctor took minimal action.

I came to Dr. Jennifer Curtis for a second opinion on my gastro issues. I told her my story and when my symptoms started. I proposed a few ideas of what I thought was going on - but those ideas fell on deaf ears. I consistently suggested that I had SIBO (Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth) and asked if we could start there with antibiotics. Dr. Curtis threw that idea out the window and wouldn't prescribe any antibiotics. Suggested I do another upper endoscopy and colonoscopy (I had previously done an upper endoscopy about 4-5 months earlier with my first gastro dr.). Repeatedly suggested that my symptoms were all in my head and that I may need to look into therapy or medicine for depression. Fast forward to today; Parasites were found in my stool and the 3rd doctor prescribed antibiotics for them. Secondly, I was also diagnosed with a gallbladder ejection fraction at 14 percent. My current gastro doctor is wanting me to consider surgery.

Dr. Curtis is wonderful, she deserves 5 stars, but her Nurse/Assistant has a seriously bad attitude! She doesn't even have to say anything, you can see her body language, and slinging papers off the copy machine. Not one smile to anyone either. She makes you feel rushed & like you're a problem!

Went to see dr Curtis as a consult. She wasn't prepared, she appeared to be distracted and not engaged. She had no follow through and didn't show caring or concern. Would not recommend this provider nor the practice for treatment.

Dr. Curtis urged me to have a colonoscopy and called me two weeks later saying I had displaysia. She scheduled me for another one three months later at a specialist' office at Emory where my colonoscopy came out clear. After three months of worrying for my life, I decided to adopt a child. For my paperwork, I asked Dr. Curtis to write me a letter stating whyand she refused unless I come to her office. Waste of time and money. Choose another doctor if you can.
