Rude, rude, rude
I have never met a doctor more rude than Dr. Sharon. He kept us waiting more than an hour did not recognize my partner who was sitting in the room with me. He was completely unprofessional during the visit and in his follow up notes. When I responded to the notes, indicating that many were wrong and did not reflect our conversation, I was told he does not correct his notes because he doesn’t have the time. I’m not sure he has the time to practice medicine. if he wants to do research and he should

Horribly rude doctor
Rude ,no bedside manner , does not explain why symptoms would mimic vestibular symptoms Contradicted other providers that suspected vestibular issues He did a half effort Romberg test and disregarded my complaint of having vection or movement distortion such as loosing balance propriceptionInability ti shop at a store because of visual or auditory input He was the worst dr I’ve ever encountered

Best doctor I’ve ever met
Dr. Sharon was easy to communicate with, and repeated the things I’m going through to double check if he understood. He was very informative and very kind to me. He didn’t rush the appointment and took all the time he needed to understand the whole situation. And thanks to him, I hopefully and finally have an answer after having this problem for 2 years, which all my other doctors couldn’t figure out. Highly recommend. You can tell that he is very passionate about his job. He is definitely one of those doctors that is a doctor because he wants to help people. Very thankful I was referred to him.

Disappointing and Unprofessional
Dr. Sharon was rushed during each of my three visits. His staff was unfriendly and uncaring via phone and email with passive aggressive verbiage. There were long wait periods between testing and results as well as misreading/confusion feedback on a vital CT scan. He was dismissive to my questions calling my sickness a “complex case” but then not providing input or solutions regarding why it was complex. Then suggested I see Stanford but would not provide a referral. Extremely disappointed in my experience with his office.

He knows his stuff!
Dr. Sharon was one of the surgeons who performed a removal of a vestibular schwonnoma. It took many hours. He, and his fellow surgeons, did a great job. He is a personable doctor, who know a lot about ENT-related matters, including my particular condition.

Dr Sharon was very thorough and carefully listened to my concerns. He spent a considerable amount of time with me. He ordered testing, gave me some very comprehensive reading materials on my disease and offered several options my other dr hadn’t mentioned. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. The only problem is getting an appt with him as he is extremely busy.

My UCSF physical therapist highly recommended Dr Sharon for my balance issue. She was spot on. Youthful, energetic, asked pertinent questions, did a balance exam, nasal passage exam, ear exam and found some sort of crusty material in my ear that may have been clogging my eustachian tube. With a little work, Dr Sharon removed the mystery material. Now I have a plan for recovery. Thanks Dr Sharon and UCSF

I could not be more dissatisfied with my appoinmtnet with Dr. Sharon! He’s incredibly judgmental and does NOT listen to what the patient has to say. As for anyone going through a systemic chronic illness that’s also causing any issues or discomfort with your ears, stay away!!! When a doctor is unable to figure out what’s wrong with you they will recommend therapy. Very unfortunate. Only reason I went to him was because my doctor referred me to him. Horrible idea!
