Dr. Ross became my doctor back in September 2023. He was respectful and knowledgeable and also considerate of my condition. He took the time to listen to me at every appointment and to thoroughly explain what was going on with my body . If you have the chance to be treated by Dr. Ross, I Suggest you make him your too choice. Gotta go get my meds.

too long to get an appointment
Getting an appointment -- despite multiple referrals for a dangerous infection -- was harder than getting into a doctoral program. I never was able to get an appointment -- they kept pushing me back to ortho and asking for more referrals and paperwork -- meanwhile my infection continued to be misdiagnosed and worsened until six months later I finally got seen by UNM Ortho & Infectious Disease. UNM Infectious Disease was easy to book appointments with -- and saw me within a week of getting a referral. Also they were knowledge and kind.

Helped Me Adhere to My Meds
I was struggling to stay compliant with my medication due to having to take it 2x per day. Dr. Ross helped put my mind at ease when he recommended a once a day treatment. I was skeptical because the treatment I was on had minimal side effects. Dr. Ross listened to my hesitations and helped me understand how a one a day treatment was simlar to the 2x per day treatment I was on. Since changing medications I've been 100% compliant. I appreciate Dr. Ross listening to my concerns and sharing research that helped put my mind at ease.

Helps me navigate care
Dr. Ross has helped me take charge of my health. He listens to my concerns and educates me when I don’t understand something. Collaboration is important to me. I was seeing my specialist 4x per year, now that I’m better, I see him 1-2 x per year.

Dr. Ross spent the time necessary each appointment to answer our questions. I appreciated that he was conservative at the end of my treatment with the intent that my infection would come back. I was so appreciative that he came to the hospital right away and definitely put my mind at ease.
