I was a very difficult case and He let me know that. He didn't sugar coat anything and let me know it was going to be hard. It was a very long road to recovery but now I'm doing very well. I had a previous fusion and it just made it more complicated.

Repeat patient
My husband has had three minimally invasive spine (2 back and one neck) surgeries with Dr. Roh over the last 15 years all with great success. Now we are about to look him up again for the next one. Highly recommend. He has always had great bedside manner and has always been great at explaining what was wrong and his planned approach to fixing it.

Better business man than sufgein. Too important a man to deal with the mistakes he makes Terrible communicator. Doesn't take Phone calls. His PA doesn't take Phone calls. Revolving door of other poorly trained staff. Completely destroyed my life then proceeded to blame me and turn me over to the risk management legal team. Assembly line medicine with Doctors tag teaming these surguries and pushing you through as quickly as possible. Doctors are compensated in a way that pushes profits for procedures over patients. Plenty of news articles about this around 2017. Nothing has changed. Had 6 Therapists thrown at me in a 36 hour period. Only one was useful. Got to do volume to get the Medicare Billing up. This is not a patient priority Hospital. Most nurses are just part time contract employees. If you care about living and a successful surgery go elsewhere. Can not trust your life to swedish. Systemic long term issues not fixed.

Dr Rohs Assistant Dr argued with me about how many injections I had and were I had them in my cervical spine. Then I saw Dr Roh, his assistant and a girl talking notes all at the same time. I felt like I was being questioned as if I was on trial. It was a horrible experience I will never go back

I suffered for years with back pain due to a herniated disk. Dr. Roh was able to correct the issue with an outpatient procedure. I was home the same day and pain free within a week. I highly recommend Dr. Roh and his team. They were professional, efficient and provided a high level of pre and post-surgical care. On a personal note - If you are struggling with the decision on whether or not to take a surgical option for your back pain, I recommend that you do. I tried cortisone shots, pain meds, anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, etc. None the treatments were effective long term. Minimally invasive spine surgery is quick and effective solution.

Dr. Roh gave us our lives back. My husband had spinal stenosis and spondylosis at L3-4-5. He was in constant pain & had started losing muscle function in his calves & thighs. An avid hiker, he could barely walk around the block with me. No doubt about it, the fusion & disk replacement was major surgery. However, Dr. Roh's minimally invasive technique ensured my husband had the minimum to recover from. Once the surgical meds wore off, my husband's relief was immediate. In all fairness, he was a motivated patient & followed directions. Looking back after 1.5 years, the distance he's come is incredible. We walk 30 minutes a day at a pretty good clip, he no longer leans on the grocery cart when we go shopping, he's pain-free, he has his sense of humor back. In short, the man I married has returned! Not merely a highly skilled surgeon, Dr. Roh has a superior "bedside" manner, he answered all our questions, & never made us feel rushed at appointments (pre- and post-op). Highest marks!

Dr Roh ruined my life. I went to him with some slight back pain, I now have severe chronic back pain, leg pain ,foot pain, permanent nerve damage in my left leg, foot drop, improperly placed hardware, a failed fusion. Right after my surgery I woke up to a numb foot. I was told “that is normal” I haven’t seen Roh one time since my surgery. Always get an assistant. I just had a “salvage” surgery in which new doctor said “it was real bad, a mess” I now barely walk with a cane, and have severe pain

Straight forward Lumbar fusion by Dr. Roh. Afterwards excruciating sciatic pain from mid buttocks down leg x 3 yrs. Multiple therapies, injections & procedures no help. Neurosurgeon found fusion was falling apart and Dr. Roh had placed a screw right on top of the sciatic nerve. Broke my own cardinal rule of letting someone other than a neurosurgeon perform surgery on my back. With my healthcare background should have known better. Fusion had to be redone and extended.

Dr Roh used MISS on me and straightened my scoliosis as well as fixed my lumbar bone on bone issues. I am 5 months out from surgery and doing very well. Dr Roh is very accomplished and yet personable. My experience was a difficult one due to my own health issues and these were wisely addressed and accommodated. I would highly recommend Dr Roh, he is a wonderful surgeon.

I would like to tell you about my meeting with Dr Roh but unfortunately I never got to meet him. Instead, after several x rays were taken a physicians assistant came in and gave a very detailed evaluation of my entire spine. She also recommended treatment. I came in to get a second opinion on my lower back, fusion of the L4 and L5 vertebrae has been suggested. After 2 hours and long conversation with the PA I left the office. I will never come back to this or any other Pro Ortho facility.

Dr. Roh and his team helped me with my herniated disc. I had seen a few other doctor's and specialists who all didn't find the root of my problem or offer a viable solution, but once I went to see Dr. Roh, his confidence and reassurance made me feel like something was going to be done about my problem and that he actually cared. After my surgery, the constant pain that I had for 6 months was instantly gone! After a week I was moving around like nothing ever happened. Couldn't recommend him more!

I am 2 years out from a cervical foraminotomy, performed by Dr. Roh. At the time, other surgeons immediately recommended surgery. Dr. Roh, on the other hand, was cautious, and wanted me to exhaust every other option before opting for surgery. Furthermore, other surgeons recommended what in retrospect was the *wrong* surgery for me, comparably destructive discectomies and/or disc replacements; Dr. Roh recommended and performed a foraminotomy, and I was back to half-marathons 3 months later.

After 2 previous doctors and 4 failed back surgeries, I was referred to Dr Roh, After one simple Xray, he diagnosed the core of my problem. I had been seeing a pain management Dr for 4 years for extreme pain, and was able to get off of all pain medication within 4 months. I credit Dr Roh with giving me my life back. I went from immobile and in chronic pain, to running a half marathon with 2 years. I would recommend DR Roh to anyone.

ALWAYS, if you require back surgery see a neurosurgeon NOT an orthopedic surgeon. Working in healthcare myself I broke my own rule. Dr. Roh performed surgery on me in 2014. Laminotomy and L4-L5 fusion. Soon after I was in tremendous sciatic pain that ran from lumbar down my leg along with low back pain. He had not braced the fusion as he should have and also placed a screw ON my sciatic nerve. Neurosurgeon had to take apart & repair what he had done and also fuse the next lower level in 2013

After discussing one type of endoscopic discectomy during my appointment, Dr. Roh later signed me up for two laminotomies and an extraforaminal decompression, which were never mentioned during my appointment. Then, my Office Visit Report incorrectly stated (about those 3 surgeries):: "All potential risks, benefits, alternatives, and limitations of the surgical procedure were discussed with ** today. He understood the risks.." However, 6 weeks later, he did call me to explain the surgeries.

My experience with Jeffrey Roh was absolutely horrible, he did not understand my conditions and it was a complete waste of time and travel. I left feeling disgusted and depressed when I felt like I could finally have some hope after so many years of living in chronic pain and doing all the conservative treatments. One of the worst experiences of my life! I would NEVER recommend anyone to go see him.

On the leading edge of minimally invasive spine surgery. Honest and extremely capable. Will take the time to discuss the situation, present options (not all surgical), and truthfully put forth his professional opinion for your specific case. Mine was a nerve decompression and was completed as day surgery. A 3 hour surgery schedule. (arrived at 1PM and was out the door at 8PM - under my own power) No big cuts to recuperate from. ( less then a inch incision for instrument access)

I felt at ease with Dr. Roh immediately after talking with him. His clear and thorough explanation of my back problem and his recommendation of the surgical procedure made sense to me and put me at ease. After listening to my concerns and inquiring the exact location of my pain, he described the minimally invasive surgical procedure he recommended to alleviate my pain. His surgery was very successful and I am now thankfully pain free.
