Dr. Morgan performed my heart transplant on November 23 2017. I had been treated at two other leading national transplant programs in the United States and moved to Houston because of Dr. Morgan and his team. I had been hospitalized for long stretches before my transplant and was able to use this time to speak with cardiologists, transplant surgeons and nursing staff to research his academic and clinical background. Furthermore, I reviewed his record of performing more complex transplantations. My transplant occurred on the morning of Thanksgiving. My family told me Dr. Morgan remained at the hospital into the night post-transplant and returned early the next morning to assess my condition. My family indicated Dr. Morgan kept them well-informed about the recovery of the donor heart and its quality, the surgery and my post-operative performance. Dr. Morgan is at his core a healer.
