Great Dr. !!! He came immediately to the E.R. and cleared the food obstruction, to my stomach. I couldn't keep anything down to my stomach, I felt awful, until he cleared out the blockage. A tight feeling, while swallowing recurred and my esophagus was stretched again, in a week. The final exam showed all was good. Nichole, his nurse, was helpful during this time. He comes across as a friend, there to help you. Dr. Michalak is going to do my colonoscopy screening in Jan-2022.

He spent less than 2 minutes with us after an EGD. Haven't been able to talk to him since. That was 4 weeks ago.

He is very hard to get a hold of. You have to leave messages and wait for someone to call back. He doesn't spend much time with you and doesn't explain anything. Seems in a hurry to leave. When you have issues later and try to get a follow up he comes off as irritated and not interested in helping you.

Dr. Michalak is excellent in managing multiple conditions including crohns and celiac disease. He explains all procedures and treatment plans with the patient in mind. He is patient focused and provides patient centered care. When messages left regarding symptoms or concerns someone returns call within same day. Chronic autoimmune conditions such as crohns and celiac require collaboration with the entire medical team. Over the past 4 years since diagnosis I have had excellent care.

Dr. Michalak is AMAZING. He takes the time to listen to all of your concerns and answers all questions in a way that can be easily understood. I have recommended several people to him and will continue to do so in the future. He is a very caring doctor which isn't very common these days. Just go to him you will NOT be disappointed!

Had a great experience with a colonoscopy. Woke up alert right after the procedure. My only concern was a rude office employee or nurse who wasn't helpful when trying to see if doctor was in our insurance network.
