Dr. Jeffrey Lin, MD

Dr. Lin performed a hysterectomy on me, during which he damaged my left ureter, leaving me incontinent, with urine streaming uncontrollably into my abdomen and out of my vagina. I had to have two additional surgeries (not by him), and am now a urology patient for life, with the threat of kidney damage hanging over me.

Our experience with him was abysmal. 1) My mother's GYN said to call continuously and make sure Dr. Lin reviewed her file to see if he could see her sooner than 3 weeks out, 2) no one ever called back 3) weeks after calling twice a day we finally spoke with Dr. Lin who said he had reviewed her file and despite her high-grade cancer, he was certain she would be fine so didn't need to see her sooner 4) I pushed for having a CT scan before our appointment and the CT indicated cancer had started to spread outside of her uterus 5) when we finally met with him, he was "very confident she will be just fine" so waiting a month for surgery would have no material impact 6) when we finally switched doctors he called us and told me that I was probably killing my mother because the other surgeon probably wouldn't have time for her surgery. Her tumor grew from 0.9 cm to 6 cm and her staging went from what was likely stage 1 to stage 4. For high-grade GYN cancers, go to Hopkins in Baltimore.

If you're unfortunate enough to need a gynoncologist , you cannot do better than Dr. Lin. An incredibly skilled laparascopic surgeon, and an extremely nice guy.

I just had surgery with Dr. Lin. He was very patient with me and worked with me to get the outcome I wanted even though it made things harder for him. He’s very skilled and two people who are professional hospital employees told me how lucky I was to have him as a surgeon on the day of my surgery. I would go back to him again for anything. The day after surgery, I needed no pain pills and was up and walking around. No complications; just great care.

Just finished a successful surgery with Dr Lin for an early detection Ovarian cancer. Every one of the medical providers I asked referred me to Dr Lin. He called me personally after reviewing my records and I felt week cared for and positive about the outcome from that point through the post surgery care. There were no surprises, just excellent professional care, every step of the way. Sibley hospital was fantastic too

Dr. Lin is a very skilled surgeon that is focused on what is best for the patient. I had a laproscopic myomectomy with him on June 30 and am healing very well. The pain was minimal and the recovery has been easier than expected. That being said, I was disappointed by the lack of follow up post-surgery. I only received one follow up call and nurses were slow to call me back when I called with questions. During such a precarious state, I expected slightly more monitoring or, at least availability.

My OBGYN referred me to Dr. Lin for a myomectomy. It was my first surgery and I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Lin was very patient with both my husband and me. We had a number of questions and he gave thorough answers to each question. His bedside manners are courteous and professional. My surgery was a total success and he was at the hospital for patient visits (over the weekend) after my surgery! There is minimal scarring and I'm healing expeditiously. I highly recommend his work!
