I’ve been going to dr Lawler many years, never had a problem til last visit 7-9-24. I had a cyst in both hands And he came in looked at my hands 5 seconds and out the door he went in the middle of my sentence. This happened 3 times my trying to talk to him and he’s going out the door mid sentence just like I wasn’t talking. He said he was watching a ballgame out at the nurses station. He was more concerned with his “game” than he was my cysts. I felt so disrespected and so uncomfortable I am looking for another orthopedist I doubt I will go back to him. Very unprofessional!!!!! To say the least

I called for an appointment. First thing the lady said was "do you have insurance?" and then put me on hold. The conversation only went down hill from there. Dr Lawler may be the best doctor in the world but I will never know because of the pathetic office staff.

Did my dad's hip replacement. Drove on icy roads to get to the hospital to do the surgery. Very direct and does not fudge on the truth. Tells you like it is. Great guy. My sister and her husband now use him for all their ortho needs and they live in Birmingham!

I would definitely recommend Dr Lawler to my family and friends. He scoped one knee and did total knee replacement on the other. It has been a rough time but he was there every step of the way. Wonderful doctor in every way!

Dr. Lawler took care of my mother through two surgeries and several follow-ups. His professionalism, skill, and compassion is next-to-none. He even returned from 'personal leave' to get back ASAP to perform an emergency hip surgery on my mother just over a year ago.

Dr Lawler is by far the best orthopedic in skill and bedside manner. He is very compassionate. He is amazing. . I would rate his office staff a low 1. Rude, hateful, and don't know how to file Medicare very well. Be sure to ask for itemized receipts when you pay. Don't pay in advance . Wait until Medicare pays because they don't know how to calculate 20%... You will be hung up on and treated rudely when you try to understand your statement. He is worth all of that but just so you know.

Dr. Lawler quickly and correctly diagnosed my husband's knee problem. The needed surgery was scheduled as early as possible and was successful in correcting the problem. We liked that there was an in-house physical therapy department to complete the process. Dr. Lawler himself was caring and personable -- a person you trusted.

My experience with Dr. Lawler was fair. The office staff is a different story. Rude, and insensitive. My mini surgery is still a problem. The office staff wouldn't allow me to see the Dr. My knee is crooked, and so much pain. I can't walk evenly.
