Two ER visits
We’ve seen Dr. Israel on 2 separate occasions when my 2 year old daughter was having difficulty breathing and needed oxygen (RSV/pneumonia and croup). Dr. Israel was calm and reassuring both times while explaining everything to us and answering our questions. At one point when alarms were going off and we couldn’t find a nurse, Dr. Israel came in quickly to help with the oxygen machine and helped calm us all down. We’ve felt safe and well cared for both visits and were lucky he was our doctor!

Rude and disrespectful
My underage daughter was in eergency room at Cohen's Pediatric Hospital, Queens, NY. My elderly mother who has a history or heart disease, diabetes and blood pressure problems accompanied my daughter because I was out of state. My mother approached the nursing station to ask if there were any updates on the tests performed and health status of her gran daughter, when doctor Jeffrey Israel was rude and condescending to her by telling her they have other patients in the hospital. I also work in the hospital system and yes we are assigned a number of patients when on duty, but it does not give any healthcare provider or professional the right to treat patients or families with disrespect. If he cannot handle his patient assignment then he needs to take it up with his superiors/administration. Dr. Jeffrey Israel title of DOCTOR does not give him the right to treat anyone and I mean anyone with disrespect. His title gained means he took the Hippocratic Oat which he needs to review.

Disgusting Doctor
This doctor was in the childrens emergency room screaming at a grandmother that her granddaughter was not the only patient there. He was completely rude and loud. The grandmother has had several stents placed and bypass surgery. She spent the night with her granddaughter in the ER and did not sleep at all or get her own medications. People go to the ER for help and instead he caused other problems, she felt she needed to go to the adult ER after encountering him. You should not take your children to see him. Doctors should have some kindness and compassion in general but defintely in the emergency room. There will be complaints filed against him. This is an example of what is wrong with our world. A little kindness goes a long way, especially to those who are not well.
