Very professional, empathetic

“Had” dr hallzago as a PCP for a couple years, I say “had” because I never saw him until I experienced a flair up from a stomach ulcer. Dr Jeffrey Hallazgo completely blamed the stomach ulcer on me me and my lifestyle habits, even though I had been on medication the year prior well known and documented for causing stomach ulcers. I brought that up and you could tell he knew nothing about me a “patient” he’s had for years. Lol also I’m a young women and I could sense he was very comfortable talking down to me. BE AWARE..

I was dissatisfied with the care I was receiving at a different healthcare system and switched to Dr. Hallazgo. Just recently visited for my annual checkup and he was very thorough and pleasant to deal with. He is now the primary care physician for both me and my wife. I would definitely recommend him.

I have several bad experiences with doctors bedside manners. But, Hallazgo is awesome! He is very attentive, patient, and eager to get to the root of my problem and quickly! He's the best!

Dr. Hallazgo is one of the most pompous, arrogant, and demeaning physicians I have seen in the Mercy system. He doesn't listen to what a patient has to say and even if the patient persists, he ignores is because, according to him, he's the doctor and knows best. He represents the worst kind of practitioner in the medical field. In my opinion the level of his people skills is fit for being a coroner. If at all possible, I recommend you avoid this person in any way possible. Other than this physician, the staff and other aspects of Mercy's Urgent care system has been very good. In fact, for the same ailment, I received good care and commendable care about 3 years ago.
