Really seemed to listen
From my first visit to the colonoscopy to the follow up visit, Dr Gretz was very kind and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I like him so much that I am setting my husband up with him also.

Dr. Gretz is an excellent doctor. He is a master of his profession and a very kind and caring human being. When I was diagnosed with cancer he called me several times and was available for consult when I needed. His support meant the world to me.

Dr Gretz is the whole package. He is kind, caring, has a wonderful personality and bedside manner and is a terrific doctor. He explained everything to me and did so at a level that made it very understandable.....

Today was my 3rd visit with Dr. GRETZ in the past 2-1/2 years. He is exceptional!!! Very thorough in his explanations, very patient with my many questions, and not intimidating or patronizing like some doctors. His Lakewood Ranch, Building "2 office was well organized and spotless, and his nurse very proficient.

Dr. Gretz was easy to talk to about my issues. He listened to me and was very knowledgeable. The appointment was not rushed. I was very comfortable. He took the time to explain every step of my treatment. I never felt rushed. I have been to lots of gastroenterologist throughout my lifetime. My first impression was great and I am still happy with his services! I would recommend him to others.

I highly recommend Dr. Gretz. I saw him in his office and then for a colonoscopy. He was very professional, very personable and kind. I felt that he was totally focused on my health and the procedure I needed. This is a doctor who really does care about his patients. A +!

Had a similar experience to the person hat said he had no eye contact etc. since I gave a serious liver disorder I need someone who I can talk to. This guy is not that person.

My husband needed a colonoscopy. Set up a pre procedure office appointment.At the very least expected to meet with an ARNP if not Dr Gretz himself.Only saw his “nurse”. Day of procedure came in introduced himself and asked if any questions? The fact that myself and husband are nurses are irrelevant to the fact that he delegated informed consent to his “ nurse “ a medical assistant - Unacceptable.

Had a routine procedure with Dr. Gretz. Beginning with Kate their PA, through to the ambulatory care center, all were professional and demonstrated a caring attitude. Prior to and after the procedure Dr. Gretz was caring an took the time to assure I was comfortably informed of the procedure and the results. All the staff was welcoming, attentive and genuinely interested in my well being. I highly endorse Dr. Gretz and his staff.

I have no reason not to believe that Dr. Gretz is not a competent Gastroenterologist but he does not care a great deal for his patients as individual human beings. In my case he never referred to me by name and indeed I do not know that he even remembered my name. As he stared into his computer and without extending me the professional and/or common courtesy of looking at me or addressing me by name he spoke to me in the third person in a condescending tone.
