Dr. Jeffrey Goldsmith, MD

Dr. Goldsmith is a skilled diagnostician and an excellent internist. He regularly knows everything about a patient before they enter his office for a regular visit. His recommendations for specialists are spot on. He is caring, thoughtful and thorough. He always returns messages - and follows up following procedures. A superb physician in every way. I trust him totally.

Dr Goldsmith is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He has been my PCP for many years and hopefully, for many more to come!

I have type 2 diabetes and a couple of years ago I ended up in ICU for nearly a week & nearly passed away from complications. Dr. Goldsmith is amazing. His demeanor is calming & assuring. All communication is comprehensive & explained in every detail in a nonmedical language, for me. Dr. Goldsmith has guided me on a completely different lifestyle that includes the correct measure of medication, his recommended team for nutrition, exercise, 24/7 monitoring of my glucose stats, on track monitoring of all areas of my ongoing survival. The team of specialists work as a team. It was not a struggle for me being at the scariest time in my life to a positive change in my stats. I'm grateful to have this Dr. & his team caring for me. My family & friends remark about how obvious the positive improvements are as my health improves.

I have had nothing but positive experience with Dr. Goldsmith as my primary physician. I never feel rushed during my appointments with Dr. Goldsmith. He comes well prepared by going over my chart before he sees me. He is very smart and keeps up with the latest medical developments so he is on top of things. He is very accessible and extremely punctual in replying to his emails. I feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Goldsmith!

I don't normally write reviews, but some of the characterizations here are unfair. He's been my GP for 5 years and is very thorough. He explains the issue at hand, and the gives pros/cons of solutions. He answers my email questions quickly. Overall, I'm very happy with him.

Dr. Goldsmith is moody and rude, rarely returns patients’ phone calls, and never returns calls from Home Care or from family members. He is lacking empathy, uncooperative and gets easily frustrated and irritated. When asked about the same problem couple times which he is unable to solve or explain, he recommends hospice, and then when questioned about it, denies that he recommended it. He never checks on condition when patient is in the hospital.. I absolutely will not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Goldsmith was recommended to me by another doctor. He's been my GP for about 5 yrs. now, and I'm very happy I made the change. He's very knowledgeable and pleasant. He makes sure he knows my history. While he's very busy, he does take the time needed to analyze my symptoms and give me great advice and/or send me on to an appropriate specialist.

He’s been my primary care physician for at least fifteen years and I just really like him. He listens, he’s reasonable, he explains every decision and diagnosis, he does not over-prescribe, he’s gentle and kind, and he’s efficient. A really nice likeable guy and a great doc.

Seems like he really knows his stuff. But along with that goes an impatience with really sorting through issues, an edge in his manner and an arrogance in the way he talks about other doctors, . Most disturbing to me was his lack of promised followthrough on several matters. Probably great if you've got a simple medical history. He has no time for complexity, which is a shame because, if he took the time needed, he probably would be a really good doctor.
