Dr. Jeffrey Garelick, MD

Dr. Garelick has been my gastroenterologist for 25 years. He is outstanding and caring. I have never found fault with any aspect of his professional care nor his staff. I am scheduling my next colonoscopy and would not think of anyone else. My wife also had a gratifying experience with Dr. Garelick a few months ago.

I searched for a top-notch gastroenterologist on US News Health and found Dr Garelick who was rated an impressive 5 stars out of 5 by 190 patients and I'm happy to say he not only lived up to his reputation but also exceeded my expectations. Dr Garelick quickly diagnosed a chronic condition that my previous doctor missed. He and his support staff helped me through a flare up and were always there to offer advice throughout recovery. I never felt like 'just another patient'. I highly recommend Dr. Garelick!

If you don’t have a staff that can do a simple job without errors then you shouldn’t really trust the office.

I scheduled an initial visit with Dr Garelick, and once I arrived, after taking off work, I was told Dr Garelick was not in, and that I would be evaluated by his Nurse Practitioner.I tried explaining my family history of Stomach cancer, and Olga Fernandez, ARNP, , refused to schedule an Endoscopy.Instead, Olga ordered medication for my gastric reflux because of symptoms I described.Thank God I found another Gastroenterologist, who performed my Colonoscope and Endoscopy, and found several, Polyps in my Stomach, which were found because they had the clinical knowledge to order my Endoscopy, which is as important as a Colonoscopy, and equally Life.-Saving.I have been a Registered Nurse for over 34-years, and I do not have confidence in Nurse Practitioners, that work in place of Medical Doctors In Specialty areas.

Dr. Garelick is not only competent, but also very personable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Garelick for many years. He is an outstanding professional. But the best thing about him is his warm personality, generous heart and caring smile. He makes me feel very confident before and after any procedure I need done in his practice. I highly recommend him.

I am a retired RN, who was a certified professional in healthcare quality. During the last 15 years of my 45-year career, I worked as a quality and patient safety specialist at a Harvard teaching hospital in Boston.I accompanied my husband, who has a long history of GI issues, to his first appointment with Dr. Jeffrey Garelick. We found Dr. Garelick to be very arrogant. He was dismissive of the interpretation of CT scan we brought and also the opinions of other previously seen GI doctors that indicated my husbands symptoms are related to diverticulosis and, at times, diverticulitis. Dr Garelick took almost no history, did not assess his current status, and said that, based on his experience, his symptoms were due to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). He provided no education about IBS treatment related to diet, lifestyle changes, or medications. This experience was very disappointing and we will not return.

Everything was good till they tried to scam me with the billing codes , billed routine colonoscpy as non routine to try to get paid and extra $750 - be careful with this office

At the recommendation of my primary care MD, I went to Dr. Garelick last year when it was time for my routine colonoscopy because my old gastroenterologist had retired. I told him that I had a diagnosis of eosinophilic esophagitis and dysphagia, and that I wanted him to perform an EGD at the same time as it was clearly indicated by my symptoms. Dr. Garelick emphatically stated that my dysphagia was due to GERD, and that I did not need to have an EGD. This was incredible, but I was not going to argue with him. He acted, in my opinion, like he did not want to spend the time or effort to further evaluated my symptoms or concerns. So I went to another GI specialist and gave him my old records and explained my concerns; I underwent an EGD and was found to have a severe esophageal stenosis. My symptoms are improving and my third dilation is scheduled next week. My advice: stay away.

Dont go see this guy if you are female. I’ve been to him 3 times and each time he asserts a pugilistic, short-guy dominance with curt, dismissive answers. Today following a procedure I was yelled at for asking a question about inconclusive test results -- at the time I was SUPPOSED to ask questions -- and I’m a professional woman with plenty of intelligence, so not exactly the type of patient who would test his 'patience.' Definite thumbs-down. Rude, crude. There are plenty of gastros out there who will treat you with respect.

Dr Garelick and his team are compassionate and professionals in their field. I felt I was in very good hands.

Dr. Garelick an expert in his field, and I know I'm in good hands. He is also very compassionate and understanding about my situation and concerns, and he has always taken the time to talk with me to make sure we address all of the concerns I have and that I understand what I need to do next. I couldn't ask for a better gastroenterologist. His staff is also very professional and kind. They were able to fit me in once on a Friday when my condition got worse suddenly and I needed to be seen as soon as possible.

I was experiencing a painful gastro issue and I am a new patient and Dr. Garelick gave me immediate care during a busy holiday weekend and made sure I was seen and treated and got immediate consultation as well so that I felt secure in the advice he provided for me. Dr Garelick staff was KIND and AMAZINGLY SKILLFUL in their approach to my care. It truly gave me comfort and reassurance …..I will certainly recommend Dr..Garelick with confidence

Great visit with Dr. Garelick. Understanding and caring doctor who listens and explains what steps to take to find the solution to one's health needs. My husband and I highly recommend him.

Dr Garelick is truly amazing -as is his staff. I’ve seen him for over 10 years. He is a kind, brilliant, stellar man. I have sent my family and many friends to him and they are all just as grateful to have him as their Gastro physician. Absolutely super dude !!!

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of appreciation. Dr. Garelick is deserving of such.  He is to be highly commended for the way he handles his work responsibilities. I can tell that he cares about his job and about the people who depend on him. Dr. Garelick’s help has been exemplary and his efforts and talents have contributed to my immediate needs and satisfaction. Dr. Garelick’s quick response, energy and enthusiasm are attributes that I do not take for granted. He is refreshing and was of great help to me. In essence I felt that he did an outstanding job.

Dr Garelick has a great reputation but his office staff is very difficult to deal with. It is very difficult to reach them by phone. At my appointment, the lady I had to see to schedule my procedures was not giving me her undivided attention. She was on the phone with someone else while trying to explain my procedures. She spoke very fast - and I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. I felt like an object on an assembly line in a factory. It seemed like they just wanted me in and out as quickly as possible. It is a shame that this is how a good doctor runs his office.

Dr Garalick became my doctor in 20 17 when he was on call at the hospital when I got sick. Couldn't have gotten a better doctor work any about of research or investigation. He is very knowledgeable and his explanations are very understandable for a non medical person like me.

Dr. Garelick is super knowledgeable, compassionate and an excellent listener. He explains conditions and procedures well. His group practice GASTRO GROUP OF THE PALM BEACHES is efficient and friendly. I highly recommend him.
