My Story: I'm Tremendously Fortunate to have found Dr. Jeffery (Kontak)! He's WONDERFUL! I moved from Alaska to Ohio 4.5 years ago. I was deeply saddened to leave my longtime Primary Care/Family Practice doc behind in AK. Plus, I really Dreaded the entire process of trying to find a 'new doctor' here in OH! Trust & Feeling Comfortable with my doc is crucial to me. I'm the type who has to get a certain 'Vibe' with my doc. Dr. Kontak is very Unique. He's Warm yet Professional, He's Extremely Sharp/Smart, He's Down-to-Earth, He'sGenuine & Caring. He has a certain manner about him that's instantly Assuring. You can Relax with him. And His Sense of Humor Shines. He is simply the BEST! ClevelandClinic is very Fortunate to have such an Outstanding Doctor

dr kontak rarely ever acts in a professional manner and my visits there are usually just a big waste of time. he is frequently wrong about his conclusions and repeats his mistakes over and over again. his staff and nurses are great but he is lousy.

DR KONTAK always treats us with respect and takes the time to discuss everything with us that he feels is necessary to make sure we are doing everything we can to stay healthy and feel good. He is not pushy and does explain things in depth. I would highly recommend him.

He is a down to earth, common sense Doctor that wears his opinion on his sleeve along with all his medical training.. The 1st time I met him( due to me having a sore near my eye ) He said out loud " I don't like the look of that " and took out his personal cell phone and took a picture of the sore and sent it to a specialist and set up an appointment. The specialist said that it was cancer and if it wasn't for Dr Kontak, I would of lost my eye....The Doctor and his staff has always been great..

I have used Dr. Kontak as a primary care physician for over 19 years. He's very kind and I appreciate most the amount of time he spends with me, and if the issue can't be resolved under PCP, refers me to the best specialists. Initially seeing him at his practice in Wadsworth, when he decided to join the Cleveland Clinic his practice moved to Wooster, OH (30 minutes away) I decided to follow him there. My husband also sees him. I would recommend him to friends.

biography

 After completing my family practice residency, I spent 4 years on active duty in the US Air Force as a family physician. Since that time,  I have practiced in and around the Wadsworth area since 1995.  I am excited to be back in Wadsworth fulltime as of January 2018.
