o Dr Jacobson has operated on my upper spine (neck area) 20 yrs ago and lower spine recently. He is an excellent surgeon and I am totally confident in entrusting my "spine issues" to him. o He is straightforward with patients, assuring that they and families are well aware of procedures, options o Staff members are efficient, pleasant and offices well run o I will continue to recommend Dr Jacobson (The only hesitation from my friends/neighbors stems from his being in MD - and we're far into VA

Be careful if you are considering spine surgery with this doctor. He performed a fusion on me.He damaged the nerves in my spine on the "good" side of my body. This was not a surgical complication, it was a surgical error, as I had no symptoms on the left before the surgery. He indicated the nerves had possibly been stretched when inserting spacers.I chose him and his recommended surgical technique because he told me it was the procedure that most protected the nerves.Get multiple opinions first.

Dr. Jacobson is a very caring and highly skilled neurosurgeon. He thoughtfully and honestly answered my many questions before and after surgery. His extensive experience and brilliant surgical skills were particularly obvious the evening of my procedure, when I awoke with none of the potential side effects (of which I was at high risk of having due to the multiple issues that needed to be corrected in my cervical spine). I have recovered very well and very quickly. Highly recommended!

Be aware: Dr. Jacobson's office is likely to mess up the scheduling of your appointment. I have had numerous and time-consuming conversations with Vida Rosner in his office and she never gets the appointments right.

Dr. Jacobson is a very experienced and caring physician. He listens very attentively, did a thorugh examinaton, asks for MRI to support his finding, discusses all options, and gaves one a chance to try the less invasive options and finally, if required, performs the minimal surgery to correct the problem.

He is one of the best Dr.s in the area for spinal surgical treatment. His is very honest and talented. I got butchered by a top Dr. in the area...head of the Bla, bla, bla.. Then after a needless surgery, sent me a bill for $15,000! Jacobson did minor arthroscopic surgery and cured me. Also, he didn't charge anything over insurance...$5,900. Very sweet, kind, professional.
