started well, ended poorly
I am generally in good health, don't take a lot of meds, usually only need 1-2 doctor visits a year. Maybe that is why this doctor's office miscommunicated with the pharmacist and I did not get the Rx I requested. Got right med but not right number of tablets. No response to several messages to doctor's office. So I am at Healthgrades to find a new doc.

While the doctor and his pa are fanatastic ,,,
I called to get a refill on my persciption Regeesha would not move the phone closer so I could hear her. She treated me as if I was interupting something. She needs a retrain on etiqutte. She is always rude.

I have been with Dr.Saran for years. An excellent doctor listens and genuinely seems to actually care about my well-being. Easy to talk to, Highly recommends. Regret having to leave due to a new plan, but will return once I get a new plan.

in my opinion is the worst PCP office I have been to. They did not provide adequate followup and seem more concerned with covering themselves than caring for patients. There were multiple ommissions of significance in the documentation and numerous errors.

Awful healthcare provided at this place … good luck getting in touch with them to follow up or get needed documentation. Typical hold times on phone are greater than 10 minutes. They do not care about their patients and do t do the follow up they should. If you don’t like being mistreated by them they just give you a mental health diagnosis because well - why not that sounds good .. don’t waste your time or money here.

Dr Saran is a great doctor and has a equally wonderful staff. I’ve been going to him for over three years. Previously I didn’t have a GP because I was so scared to just be a number and not heard. Every visit with Dr Saran is pleasant, he listens to all my concerns and cares about my health. I recommend all my friends, family and co-workers to his office. You will not regret your choice in choosing him as your doctor!

On 8/9/19, my husband was scheduled to take a stress test, he hadn’t eaten since midnight. Dr Saran came to see him to convince him to allow the cardiologist to put a pacemaker or stent in the following Monday if he failed the test. He told him if he did not do it he would be screwed. I said he can’t do that because he is septic, he said he doesn’t have it in his blood, I told him he still has urosepsis. He said, oh that’s right. He got up to leave, saw my husbands lunch and said is that your lunch, it looks like “crap”. My husband said he wasn’t eating because he was doing the stress test. Dr Saran told him he can eat, it’s just caffeine you can’t have so eat. He pushed the tray over to my husband. He left, my husband ate,and then nurse came to get him for the test. I told her he ate. I told her what occurred. The test was cancelled. The cardiologist and nurse was not happy. My cousin and I were astonished with his profanity and lack of knowledge. We now have a new primary Dr.

The "anonymous" one star rating from the guy who hadn't slept for "22 days" straight is clearly a liar, as Dr. Saran is 100% correct, he would be DEAD! I don't know why this troll is trying to lower one of Tampa's BEST doctors with his ridiculously, and easily confirmed impossible by anyone competent using google, and researching how the human body works, and what would happen without 22 days of sleep, but then to wait 5 years to write his or her silly review... I am guessing this patient wanted some type of narcotic, Dr. Saran refused to fuel this persons addiction, tossed something in his/her vein, and decided to write this review. I was admitted to memorial a few years back for a pancreatic issue, Dr. Saran was assigned to my case, and after only a few days of interaction, I switched from another AMAZING doctor, to Saran, and 4 years of being under his care has proven a fantastic decision. Saran will be my PCP until he retires, even if I were to move out of state, I would travel

I loved my previous PCP, but had to find another one b/c of him going concierge. I was dreading the whole process of locating & "breaking in" someone else (having to repeat 3 years of medical history, most of it w/o any explanation or diagnosis ) let alone finding someone I trusted or liked as well as the doc I'd been seeing. But Dr Saran is just that guy & I like him even better than my previous doc. My hepatologist likes him & their team uses him for their transplant patients, etc, & my GI speaks highly of him too. He has great bedside manner and listens to what you have to say not rushing you, even made phone calls to in/out of state physicians to find me some specialists to figure out my ailments. He is always courteous, friendly and has a good sense of humor. He's top notch in my book & I can't say enough good things about him. The office staff are really nice & helpful too. I work in a physicians office that refers him to our patients when they are looking for a new PCP.

In April of 2014 I saw Dr. Saran who had been my internist for several months. I told him I had not slept for 22 days. He said that was impossible and that I would be dead if it were true. He gave me the drug seroquel and said if I wasn’t careful I would end up in the psyche ward at Memorial Hospital. Less than 48 hours later, I jumped off a 7 story building. When my brother tried to reach Dr. Saran about the incident, he never took his calls.

I have been a paitent of Dr Saran about four years. I've never been one for doctors appointments or hospitals, but Dr Saran has always been on target and care for my needs, and takes the time to listen. I have had diabetes for thirty-eight years and with his knowledge and care I'm still running strong! Thank you to Dr Saran and staff... Dave

It was an awful experience especially with his incompetent staff and particularly his deceitful office manager. I have made numerous request for copies of the results of my lab work to no avail. No one seems to know what they are doing. The doctor yawned repeatedly during my interview which was not a confidence builder. There was no follow-up from the doctor or staff with any direction or results and I am sure that my other doctors were not advised of the results of my visit as I requested.

I have seen Dr. Saran twice. Both visits I found him to be very friendly and easy to speak with regarding my health. The office staff are great. The office is very convenient for me and nice. I believe I have found a very good Dr to continue with for many years.

My wife has cancer, she treated and was being followed by Saran. She had pain again so he sent her for a CT. It showed her cancer was spreading. The radiologist called him immediately. A week later, after not hearing from Saran about her results she went to the hospital to read them herself. No one should find out that way, and how can this be unimportant to him! Horrible Dr. He knew she was upset, never called her. Shame on him. I'm finding someone else.

I am an ovarian cancer patient. After treating at Moffitt for 6 mos I was waiting to see if we killed it all.,I started to have pain, Saran sent me for a CT scan on a Tuesday which showed metastasis to my colon, and liver. The radiologist called Dr Saran Weds before office hours to let him know. I never heard anything from Saran!!! In frustration I went to the test facility, sat in the lobby and wept as I read my result! also, to give them a urine spec - they make you use hall public bathroom

My first appt he seemed eager to figure out my issues, the second visit he was extremely rude and told me to stop seeing doctors. Thankfully I didnt listen to him and found out that not only was I extremely anemic (he didnt bother to check that with all the bloodtests he ran as I complained of fatigue and breathlessness) but I am bleeding internally. Gave him one last visit and he basically told me he had no clue why I was in pain, didnt bother to investigate further. That was my last visit.
