NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE
The visual acuity test, computer refraction assessment, mechanical assessment to determine my prescription and the Glaucoma test; were all completed by young lady with only on the job training. She had no license or formalized schooling. When Dr. Poll came in, I let him know I was due for an exam, experiencing head aches around my eyes and the back of my head and have a history Glaucoma in my family. He said "I am an eye doctor and I don't write prescriptions for pain." I didn't ask for that, I just wanted to make sure everything was normal. He scoped my optic nerve, said everything was fine. They showed me the door. I had to find my own disposable sun glasses in the lobby. The entire process was rushed, unprofessional and insulting. Maybe eye doctors are being solicited by drug seekers, but I was not one of them and should not have been treated as such. I believe all tests should be completed by the doctor, not OJT staff and I have no confidence in these test results.

Too bad I can't give them less than 1 star. Worst medical experience of my life. Cataract surgery, the staff dislocated the new lense the day after surgery. I had to have another doctor go through my eye, and put the lense back in place in the exam room of the office, after which they glued the incision and placed a contact lense over the top. Dr. Poll was unavailable, and refused to fix it at the surgical center under anesthesia. On top of the temporary blindness in one eye, extreme pain and inconvenience, they sent me to collection for an amount I did not owe, and that Dr. Poll said he would take care of, but didn't bother.

I went to Dr Poll for a chalazion/stye removal due to having issues for months. Dr Poll asked me "have you tried anything or just wishing them away". I have tried the standard recommendation of a warm compress 2 times daily. However, I obtained another stye and lost my eyelashes. Dr Poll belittled me throughout my appointment and was condescending. I went to him as a referral from my PCP. Dr Poll put down my insurance company, my primary care provider, and another ophthalmologist whom I saw for PRK surgery a few years ago. In summary, DO NOT entrust your health with Dr Poll.

My Family has been treated by Dr. Poll for several years in the South Ogden and Bountiful offices and have always been treated great by him and his staff. My 22 yr old son had to have PRK surgery and it has been wonderful for him! Everything was explained very directly which we appreciated. Look forward to many more years with Dr. Poll treating our family!

I will never go back there. The billing deapartment is terrible. Dr. Poll never answered me about my eyes killing me. I went to Target and got better help and sent to a cornea specialist. Terrible place. I will never let any of my family or friends go there.

Extremely disappointed with Dr. Poll. The tech asked Dr. Poll which tests to do first. One of the tests (O.C.T scan) requires eyes to be dialated & the other test (eye pressure test) does not. So, Dr. Poll ordered the tech to do the O.C.T scan. Dr. Poll discusses the results with my husband and I. He said he couldn't give us a diagnosis till we do the eye pressure test. I asked Dr. Poll why he didn't do the pressure test first & he LIED & said "oh,sorry the techs don't know to do that first"

I was really not impressed with Dr. Poll at all. I took my son in for his appointment and Dr. Poll kept muttering things under his breath, "I can see this one is going to be difficult..) My sons first eye exam ever and he couldn't be bothered to try and explain whats going on, just expected him to know what to do and got annoyed if he had to repeat himself. I don't recommend him, and don't plan on seeing him again.

When asked about my medical history, I mentioned I have dry eyes. By doing so it changed my appointment to a medical appointment, which makes a difference with my insurance. As soon as I realized the mistake, I explained again that I had just come for my annual checkup to get contacts. Dr. Poll seemed taken aback and left the room. I could easily hear him laughing at me w the staff, saying how I was deceptive and trying to take advantage of them. I felt embarrassed and humiliated.
