"She" (30 y.o.) had a brain bleed and stroke a month ago. She had seizure activity 2 weeks ago, hospitalized, abnormal EEG but no observed seizures. Two nights ago she had back-to-back seizure for 15 minutes. ER didn't witness seizures, didn't admit her but said "See neurologist ASAP". Her neurosurgeon also says "See neurologist!". I gave a highly detailed recent history to the nurse who conveyed this information to Dr. Beattie. Dr. B says NO, she won't see "her". Why? Because Dr B's notes from last year say no follow-up needed and had referred her to a psychologist. Because Dr B has seen "her" in the past for pseudo seizures and Dr seems convinced that is what is happening now. Dr doesn't give a flying F that there is new brain injury and hospital-documented abnormal EEG results. Dr didn't, to the best of my knowledge, access those results because they were at different hospital. History doesn't matter here. Anyone w/ new injury and documented abnormal needs to be seen!

Dr. Beattie is very thorough. She spends time listening. Genuine in her care and concern. My husband and I both see her. We are grateful for her being our neurologist!

She hasn’t helped my husband at all. She didn’t see his initial MRI, only read report. Not attentive/distracted/almost uninterested in helping us. Looking for another neurologist.

She is amazing, listening everything, if you have any issues she is always available to answer them even thru phone, very helpful and calm, makes every appointment comfortable for you. I will never change a doctor
