patient of Dr. Toppin
Dr. Toppin is an excellent doctor. I have been with Dr. Toppin about five years and I am thoroughly confident with her as my physician. Her patient rapport , understanding of medical knowledge, and accessibility to her patients are some of her qualities.

Disappointing Experience
Internal Medicine typically treats a significant proportion of seniors, many of who have various heart issues. Mine is relatively basic, but three times she refused to support me and my cardiologist in filling gaps and answering questions. I had to go elsewhere for information. If you have a heart condition, find another primary care doctor. In addition, she voluntarily offered opioids, which was incorrect medication, to someone with 30 years in recovery, which is unacceptable.

Just went for a routine physical and had her do my gyn exam as well. She always bills me for a 2nd ofc visit and orders extra labs without asking me that are not covered under a routine physical. I was sent a bill for over $160. Also, I never received the results of my pap smear so I called the office. It took them 9 days to call me back to tell me the lab discarded my results because they were mislabeled so I would have to come back (at no charge) in 3 months. Never going back.

Went to see her on three occasions as I believe in giving all people a chance. Each time very rushed, maybe spent 5 minutes with me. The last time she didn't give me any idea on how to care for a possible broken arm until I got the x-ray results and left the room while I was trying to talk with her. Thought she was coming back only to find out from medical assistant the visit was over. Also, was to get a referral to a specialist. It has been 3 weeks and no referral. No concern for patient

I have been a patient of Dr Toppin since I have moved here 8 years ago. She an excellent Dr. However the wait time for an appointment for an physical wait time can be up to months in advanced. This is the way you treat a patient that has followed you for 8 yrs. I have never had to wait up to 4 months for a 10 minute visit. Patient beware even loyal patients that your loyal means NOTHING! Perhaps Dr. Toppin is unaware of scheduling problems with loyal patients. Margaret Paprocki

I love Dr. Toppin. I have autoimmune issues. She's very proactive and open minded. If she ever thinks she's not fully equipped to help me, she's referred me to a specialist who could. I do a lot of research and like to be very involved in my healthcare. She's also run every weird blood test I've ever asked for, and it's been a lot of blood tests. I'm probably a nightmare of a patient, but she takes me seriously and I appreciate that.
