A caring, utterly competent, knowledgeable physician who takes the time to listen as needed. Her assessments are thorough and reliable. I rely on and deeply appreciate her help & judgment for over 15 years. Recommend her 100% to anyone, men or women.

All of our kids and I see Dr. Schrader and have always been able to get in to see her or a PA in a timely manner. She handles kids/teenagers well and has always been helpful.

I saw Dr. Schrader throughout high school and college and never had a good experience or an accurate diagnosis. She's not aggressive with testing or treatment, and is more likely to prescribe a medication or just "wait and see" as a first step. She tends to treat symptoms rather than asking probing questions and trying to get to the root cause. She doesn't do a good job of explaining her reasoning or treatment recommendations and asks you to just trust her judgement. I have Crohn's disease which she was never able to diagnose over the 10 years I was her patient. My mom has Crohn's disease and is also Dr. Schrader's patient, but Dr. Schrader still didn't do any testing and wasn't able to diagnose me. One example: I scheduled an appointment and asked to be administered a test to see if I was lactose intolerant. She refused to do the test, prescribed H2 blockers (acid reflex medication which was unrelated to my symptoms), and told me to avoid dairy and come back. Would not recommend.

Uninterested; too busy to see me- would rather have PA do everything. I just submitted to change providers and she is charging me to get my own records. That is prohibited by the Affordable care act. But what are my choices? She must need the $35 more than me.
