Great Doctor to have when you need someone with lots of experience

Got a call from his office to schedule a follow-up, telemedicine visit. Visit was scheduled for a 11:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., after not getting a call, I called his office. The office person said he was running 30 minutes behind schedule and would call me at 11:30. At 11:30, the same person called and said he was still behind schedule and would call in 45 minutes, at 12:15 p.m. At 12:30 p.m., an hour not 45 minutes later, I messaged him to say I couldn’t wait any longer and cancelled. Almost immediately, I got a message from his office, saying he was ready to see me via a telemedicine video. On connecting, I mentioned that I had just cancelled the meeting because of the 1 hour, 30 minute delay. Without explaining the delay or apologizing, he angrily accused me of being rude. When I decided to proceed with the appointment, he again angrily called me rude, refused to answer any of my questions about my condition, and ended the appointment. Never been treated like this by an M.D. before!

Dr. Awaida is both a Cardiologist and an Interventional Cardiologist which tells me that he sees the full picture. Through our three year relationship he has balanced my meds and suggested supportive therapies that have given me confidence and well-being. Thank you and Merci!

I was so happy to be a first time patient when I called in this morning, the very helpful office staff asked me if I could be there in 20 minutes! I had my referral already and rushed over there. Everyone was so nice, office waiting room and exam room was exceptionally clean. Dr Awaida was very patient and listen to my problem. Can you believe, he even took my 2nd time blood pressure himself.......what doctor does that now? So happy Jon Weiner MD recommended this doctor to my son-in-law for me.

I have this highest regard for Dr. Awaida. He is a true physician. Not only is his knowledge, skills, and expertise of the highest quality, he listens to his patients concerns. Recently, I asked him about an issue, outside his speciality. He recommended a M.D. who could help. Dr. Awaida did not dismiss me and my worries. He offered an excellent recommendation. Additionally, he takes care of my 97-year-old mother. Dr. Awaida’s thorough examinations and testing procedures, he discovered that her previous diagnoses regarding heart disease were incorrect. He is trustworthy and caring; and possesses a curious and creative intellect. The first visit will confirm that you are in good hands.

The previous review left on this profile regarding requiring a credit card over the phone when making an appointment is not true. We take pride in treating all our patients with compassion and courtesy and provide them with the highest quality of care.

This Doctor will not accept new patients without a credit card over the phone to make an appointment. This is their claimed policy when they found I did not have medical insurance. I guess when you have people that could die any minute from heart failure you can demand unsecured payments because you know they want to live.....
