First thing Dr. Field said to me after shaking my hand and introducing himself was “I’ve seen your scans, you don’t have cancer, why are you here?” From there it was 2 hours of condescension, talking over me, and gaslighting me. He also said that he is so shocked when he tells people they don’t have cancer they get upset rather than jumping for joy. I said I don’t want cancer, I want answers. I left his office confused and in tears. Ive never been treated that way by someone let alone a doctor. I went to another oncologist shortly after and was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. I worry about the patients he sees that are unable to advocate for themselves and are treated this way. He should not be in practice, in my opinion. Run away as fast as you can from this guy.

Dr. Field
I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in the ER. The next day Dr. Field came to my room, gave me all the facts and details I needed and scheduled surgery for the next day. He is an excellent doctor and while I can understand what others are saying about his "bedside manner", I would rather have "smarts". He was very courteous, but he's there to heal, not be friends. My nurses told me that "I had the best" but he's a little tough. And actually, I need to thank the ER doctor who stayed late on shift that night because he saw "shadows" and knew it was something. Dr. Batman. Yes, that's right.

Dr. Field was recommended to me by another OB-GYN who did some surgery with him. He said Dr. Field was the best surgeon he worked with. Upon our first visit he was professional, explained what would happen if large mass was cancer. He scheduled surgery a week later on Wednesday. I had the large mass removed and a full hysterectomy was done. I was told I would be off work for 3 weeks. I went back working full-time the next Monday, only 5 days later. I didn't need anything but ibuprofen for a few days. (I did do medical grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy 10 days before surgery and 10 days post. I do believe that helped speed up the wound healing.) Dr. Field called me that Monday with the results of the final biopsy, even though he was on vacation. He was always willing to take the time to answer all my questions. He was honest and easy to understand in his reply. I would highly recommend Dr. Field!

I am nowhere near a doctor and totally appreciate the explanation of my very large tumor to me and my family..staff was always very friendly, and it was definitely the most stressful time in my life.. in the wind-up it was benign, but if I ever have any more GYN/once issues in my future I would not hesitate to go to dr. Field and his staff again.

He's so very rude. OMG. I can't believe how nasty and curt he was. I had read another review about how rude he is. He MUST be a REALLY good doctor because HE HAS NO BEDSIDE MANNER PERIOD.

Needs to practice active listening instead of interrupting while typing. Nuances are missed and they are crucial.

This doctor is amazing. Coupling excellent medical skills with compassion, friendliness, and caring he explains everything with clear, concise information. You can easily follow his explanations and directions. He checks often on how you are feeling, being careful about office procedures, and explaining exactly what he is doing and asking for your support also throughout any procedure. The office staff is warm, friendly and makes you feel that they are there to support you.

I am very grateful Dr. Field was my surgeon for my cancer treatment. He has an excellent reputation among his peers for being highly skilled and having a high attention to detail. My recovery after surgery was much better than expected. I only needed over the counter pain meds. and I was able to return to work two weeks earlier than planned. As I continue follow-up, I appreciate the thoroughness, professionalism and consideration shown by Dr. Field and his staff.

Dr. Field is an excellent doctor. He's not warm and fuzzy; he's all about facts. I honestly believe that's the reason for some of the low-rated reviews. But I would much rather have an excellent doctor who knows what they're doing instead of warm and fuzzy. I've had some big-hearted doctors who don't have a clue. Dr. Field is extremely knowledgeable. Isn't that what really matters? One of his nurses could use an attitude check, but luckily she's not the doctor.

My mother had an appointment with Dr. Field. He ordered two tests and requested we schedule a follow up to discuss the results. The result was negative (no obvious signs of abnormality) but he became agitated when we asked about a benign showing on the tests. We continued until he answered the question. The rest of the visit he told us how he "felt" but did not provide quantifiable medical information to make a surgical decision. Very disappointing. Choose a professional, this dr is not.

Dr. Field performed my total laparoscopic robotic-assisted sp hysterectomy in July 17th. He is the most gentle gynecologist I have been to. My pre-op exam and post-op exam were very easy and after surgery, I had minimal bleeding. Because my cancer was a little different than what my referring gynecologist had thought, I need to have treatment. Dr. Field was/is proactive in a treatment plan, and he made me feel more at ease about having to go through chemo and radiation. Highly skilled surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Field's office by my Gynecologist. When I arrived for my appointment, I met Dr. Field and several staff members, who were ALL personable and welcoming. My surgery (scheduled quickly!) was a fantastic success! I felt so little pain, and was able to move very well right away. Dr. Field met with my family and filled them in on my condition, and told me the same on examination the next morning. I think the world of him and his staff, and wholeheartedly recommend him!

Dr. Field is intelligent and calculated. This may be perceived as cold, I viewed it as confident. Don't you want confidence in your corner when you've been diagnosed with cancer? Don't you want intelligent and calculated when you have to have a major surgery that will change your life? I know I did. I did intense research before I chose Dr. Field. His practice and team are a nicely orchestrated team that come together to lead you through the diagnosis and treatment.

I was recommended to Dr. Field by my gynecologist after she diagnosed me with uterine cancer. After reading reviews online about Dr. Field, I was a little reluctant to see him due to the repeated reviews that he was rude and arrogant. My experience with him was great! He was understanding, compassionate, and genuinely appeared to care about me and my treatment. I am scheduled to have a total hysterectomy soon and will post another review after the surgery.
