Dr Wang is one of the calmest people I have ever met. This is a huge plus in a doctor. The sky is falling, ok, let's go to plan B. I also appreciate that he is very conservative in his suggestions. He explains medical options well so the patient can make informed choices.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Wang has been my physician for a few years and I am so very impressed with his knowledge and extreme intellect demonstrated in real time during our first appointment. He works in real time to respond to questions most doctors may not know and works in a very quiet manner. He is very kind and sensitive to the nature of his work but for me, he seemed exceptionally that way. We talked for as long as I needed to and the dialogue was open, informative and comfortable for me. For being such a young person, I am astonished at his maturity and depth of information in my field. I have had this disease for nearly 30 years and when my doctor (Walter Stern) retired, I was apprehensive about how Dr. Wang. To my delight, he is everything noted here and I am so blessed and grateful to be in his care. Thank you Dr. Wang. You are THE Best!

Dr Jay Wang saved and improved my sight
Had emergency retinal damage complicated by c.o.v.i.d absences, referral logistics. First 2 opinions were full OR surgery. Recovery time 1 year: 1st 5-10 weeks face down 24/7. Side effect: cataracts: so 1-3 more surgeries. Full time time caregiver needed. Prognosis; blindness-50% sight. Appt time:15 mins.Word-of-mouth led to Northern CA Vitreous Associates. They cut through the red tape and I met Dr Wang same day. He’s caring, approachable, impressive resume and accomplishments. He did a through exam, responded to my concerns, and recommended an in-office, awake protocol: 5-10 DAYS down time, fewer restrictions, lost income, expense, 20% better prognosis, OR on standby.Trust earned, he began right away.My progress surpassed full surgery outcomes at 4 weeks and surprised us both at 1 year with perfect 20/20 vision…for the first time in 20 years! He smiled humbly. I cried tears of joy.Dr. Wang is very gifted and I thank him every day for the priceless gift of my sight.
