Cold as Ice
Saw Dr. C my first time today. I won't be returning. Can't remember the last doc who exhibited such disdain for a patient. Combative, interrogational style during intake. Fired off irrelevant questions about where I've lived, then didn't bother to take note of the answers. Never smiled, never said anything friendly. Entered the room demanding to know why I selected him, as if amazed that anyone would. Told me that getting my COVID boosters was a waste of time with omicron. I'm aware that people do get COVID even while boosted for the 4th time like me, but the whole idea is to prevent serious illness and stay out of the hospital. If the good doctor doesn't want any new patients, he needs to retire his shingle. He really shouldn't be seeing any new patients with his bad attitude. I was told by the receptionist I'd have to give a urine sample. Yes really, without having seen the doctor first. I asked why and got a vague answer. Beware!

I’ve been going to Dr Carpenter for over 30 years. He is very Professional and detail oriented! He is Never rushed and takes time as needed to go over your Medical needs! I highly recommend!

I was Dr. Carpenter's patient for approximately 20 years and had to switch carriers for five years with a company that the office did not accept. I was able to have a carrier this year that their office accepts and wow, am I happy to be back. His exams and overall care is so much more comprehensive and his genuine interest in my health matters is real. He is willing to spend any amount of time necessary to address any issues or concerns, never in an apparent hurry. Great, caring doctor!

Jay Carpenter MD is an excellent Internist. He has been providing care for me for 20 years. His approach is very thoughtful , downtown earth, and practical. I recommend him without reservation. Experience in medical care by other internists pales in comparison. I have no other relationship with him other than his providing medical care. John Mason
