Dr. Javier Canon, MD

Scheduled stat X-ray but never called me to discuss results or next steps. I called the office multiple times and often no answer. Left a message the one time I did get through to them and still have not received a call back I’m in almost 2 weeks. Absolutely terrible

I would give this “doctor” a -10 if I could. I went to this doctor with hope. Hope that I would finally receive some help with my SEVERE Scoliosis that I have been dealing with since I was 12 years old! I am shy 2 months of 50 years old now. Everything went well until the end when (as my husband has seen me in pain for years), my husband requested some type of pain meds for me. At that time the doctor out of no where began screaming at me that “I had coke for drugs only”! Also, “he started naming hard narcotics accusing me of coming to him for the drugs only & that my motives for coming to see him were wrong”. My husband & I were shocked! I’ve never used drugs in my life! As the dr was yelling at me and demanding me to repeat and nana the drug I wanted, I then looked at my husband and said “let’s go, I will not allow this Dr to disrespect me and accuse me of being a drug addict any longer. We complained and spoke to a nurse before leaving the office. Also I called the Texas board of M

Javier R. Canon, M.D., has consistently improve my well being with his medical knowledge and services. All my visits with him, associates and staff have been more than satisfactory. I highly recommend his services to anyone who is experiencing chronic pain.

Dr Javier Cañon has been the only doctor that has helped me with my back pain, he has not tried to push pain pills on me like other doctors have done in previous instances he tell you before hand what he’s going to do to ease my pain and true to his word he’s made it happen. I will forever be thankful to God for putting Dr Cañon in my path.

Out of the three pain management dr's I've seen, he is the most patient and understanding. He listened to my complaints and helped me understand what was occurring in my spine and joints, which no physician had ever taken the time to explain to me. Once he took the time to hear my specific issues, he successfully mapped out a treatment catered to me, personally, not a cookie-cutter plan expected to work for every individual. I owe all of my appreciation and pain free days to Dr. Canon!

He talks faster than a cattle auctioneer. Does not give you a chance to ask questions. Runs out of the room as soon as he gives you instructions. No eye contact. But worst of all, after the steroid shot on my right hip, there was no bandaid, no cotton, no bruise, no break in the skin, no tenderness, no improvement in my hip pain. I don’t think he remembered to come.

Dr Canon listened to my problems. He examined my leg and back thoughtfully and thoroughly. He ordered the appropriate tests, and began treatment with the least invasive treatment. He told me that my X-ray and MRI indicated that surgery is an option, he does not do surgery on images he does it on people! I appeared to be healing on my own and he suggested a non invasive approach. It worked! Yay. He is one of a kind in medicine today, where doctors are over scheduled, and overworked.

Dr. Canon came into the office and called me by the wrong name and asked me how I was feeling after the procedure. (I had no procedure.). I left and did not return.

I was under the care, and received several treatments, from October 2015 to July 2016. Dr. Canon was always professional and well groomed. I admired the fact that he was clean shaven and in a business suit at 6am the day of my treatments. My treatments included epidural injections, medial branch block and a discography. All were painless and in a pleasant setting. I've since had a medial branch block in the woodlands and it wasn't near as pleasant. I'm just sorry his efforts weren't effective.

I learned a very important lesson with Dr. Canon. He tells you he understands what is wrong and what you are telling him. In my case recommends a procedure, and when it didn?t work and went bad recommended seeing another doctor, he can?t treat it, but he got the procedure money.
