I had a horrible experience with this. I went in for a torn rotater cuff. He told me to go to xray. I asked why wouldn't he also schedule an mir. he said it wasn't necessary and that I was fine. He then told me to go to PT. and come back in 6 weeks. I refused to see him again and after 7 weeks my arm is 10 times worse. Now, I have to go back, pay more money for nothing in hopes they'll request an mri. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. HE DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME AT ALL. TALKED ABOUT HOW HE PLAYED SPORTS IN COLLEGE. HE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTISING.

Thinly veiled resentment that I didn't buy medical equipment I already own. He cut it short and his anger made it very awkward as I left.

Needed a bicep reattachment unfortunately there were not many orthopedists available so I drew the short straw in getting Thackeray . Without going deep detail I’ll gove you highlights . Woke up from surgery in extreme pain and had to wait for an ok from him for nurse to administer the medication bandages were extremely tight and needed to go back the next day to have them released . All follow ups were rushed and it always felt like I was bothering him . I could go on but you get the idea . My advise find a surgeon that’s interested in your case and not about revolving door surgery. There are many good surgeons no need to use a lower tier one .

Dr. Thackeray and his team provided excellent care. They were thorough and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. They explained various treatment options and outcomes. The front office staff (Breeann), Nurses Brad and Isabelle, and X-ray Ashleigh all were fabulous. Excellent care provided by all!

I found Dr. Thackeray to be professional with a upbeat positive and pleasant attitude. He explains what the problem and what the options are in a an understandable language. He also explains that the choice is up to the patient. As a patient I felt that I understood my situation and was able to make the best choice for me. His assistant, Chad, also has the same pleasant attitude and was able to explain questions I had. My knee surgery was made easier due to their positive attitudes.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thackeray for many years. He has done surgeries on both my knees and both of my shoulders. Not only has he done an excellent job, but he shows a true compassion for his patients and takes not only their medical needs but their personal needs into consideration. Knowing that I am the sole caretaker for my very ill husband, he gives me aid immediately when my knees flair up. That is the true meaning of a physician. I must say his health care assistant is also great.

Dr. Thackeray performed the procedure on my right shoulder for rotator cuff on April 6 th 2017, and started PT two weeks later. I was discharged from PT on June 22nd 2017. From what I was told from the therapist, this was above normal. Great Surgeon, great therapist.

Orthopaedic Associates and DR Thackeray are the best you will find in a 100 miles radius of Okaloosa County. And maybe the best in the region. Very happy with my surgeries and treatments.

I suffered a serious knee injury while in Destin for the winter. Dr. Thackeray and his staff were professional, courteous and helpful before, during and after surgery. It was an extremely positive experience and I would highly recommend them.

Received a total knee replacement 12/16...it was a home run! Couldn't be more pleased with the final results.
