Caring, compassionate
I had a procedure done in clinic. I was very anxious and scared. Dr. Skenazy, and staff were caring and compassionate. They again explained the procedure, listened to me and answered questions and concerns. They offered an extra option in conjuction to the local anesthesia. The procedure was completed with care and was nowhere as uncomfortable or painful as I had myself worried it would be. I do recommend Dr. Skenazy.

Very satisfied
In my case it's not exactly about a visit, it's about competence and integrity. In Helena there is a supposedly famous Montana oncologist who is now likely infamous, per my morning reading of a ProPublica report. Search for yourself and decide. My personal experience in getting exploratory surgery in April 2024 from Dr. Skenazy was exemplary. Because I was unconscious at the time we didn't converse. :) Bottom line is that I had gone though 4 blood tests and 2 MRI inconclusives for prostate cancer - indication a 95% chance of cancer. So exploratory surgery. Dr. Skenazy was extremely thorough and concluded that I was in the 5% of the above test.Bottom Line: No need to go to the Mayo Clinic We have great medical staff here plus all the support staff who also need to be commended !Steve Hample

HoLep Procedure by Dr Skenazy Excellent!
I recently had the HoLEP procedure by Dr Jason Skenazy for urinary obstruction and inflamed prostate and I give him a five star rating! The procedure was virtually pain free and was performed with a high degree of professionalism including his friendly team of qualified assistants at Bozeman Health Urology Clinic. There was an overnight hospital stay and I was discharged by 9am with no catheter and back to normal urinary function like a twenty year old! With Dr Skenazy you are in good hands!

Dr. Skenazy was very inconsiderate
The procedure that he did on my dad went very wrong, put my dad in some serious pain, and in his notes he wrote that the patient poorly dealt with it even though his inability to find the end of the stent caused the pain. My dad at the time of the procedure had to bacterial infections that they should have caught prior to doing any procedure. Very unprofessional.

Outstanding Doctor, all around
I had surgery performed by Dr. Skenazy and he has been great to deal with. He never makes me feel rushed, answers all my questions and includes me on options regarding future care. I greatly appreciate his insight and thoughts I go through arguably the toughest time of my life.

Not good at all
My husband was scheduled for a”consult “ for hematuria. Dr skenazy came in the room for Less than 5 minutes, did not even introduce himself , took my husband across the hall for a uroscopy and never came back. I have worked for some great doctors and know what a consult is. This is some of the worst care we’ve ever experienced anywhere. Would not go back and would not recommend. There are too many other options around to settle for care like this .

I think Dr. Skenazy (as a doctor's kid, "Jason" to me) is a great professional and health educator. My in-office "procedure" was quickly over and I recovered in a day or two. Could not recommend more highly.

He did surgery on both kidneys to remove several stones & placed 2 stents. I never saw him again after surgery. The nurse said to take tylenol at home. I've had this surgery before & knew Tylenol wouldnt be enough. I was told that Skenazy doesn't believe in the use of rx pain killers even after surgery! I agree that narcotics are over prescribed but there's a place for them like AFTER SURGERY! I have suffered so much and my recovery has been slower than last time. He came off as very uncaring!

Jason is a great urologist. In my case, he was a very proactive master detective, to come up with the source of the problem and immediate treatment. He listened to me, explained everything to me, was a "direct action operator" to find the cause. On my very first visit, Dr. Skenazy performed inpatient urinary tract camera scoping to detect the problem, prescribe treatment, with follow up outpatient procedure scheduled the next day. This great, highly intelligent, doctor gets 1000 stars. TY

Not a very kind or professional doctor. He didn't shake my hand hello or goodbye. Rushed and awkward; lacks social manners/skills. Didn't ask me if I had any questions.
