Poor patient care
Took my child in to rule out a fracture or other bone problem from sports and overuse before moving on to specialized care. Dr. Lasry seemed annoyed that my kid wasn’t showing enough pain to warrant being there despite myself, as the parent, knowing his pain tolerance and disdain for showing that pain to others. When the results came back, Dr. Lasry strongly implied I wasn’t intelligent enough to understand the material but proceeded to give it to me anyways without explaining it much (good thing I can understand it). He then made some remark about not needing to bring my child in for an x-ray for “every ache and pain”… you know, despite that being every other doctors first referral to rule out any bone problems.

I understand that emergency medicine is busy and there are lots of patients to see but come on at least an assessment can be and should be done. I accompanied someone to the hospital who was having rectal bleeding. After waiting over 6 hours, this "doctor" walks in and; does not touch the patient, does not do an exam, he just says the patient is young (30) and there is nothing wrong with them and walks out. 1 week later we rec'd a rectal cancer diagnosis by a real Dr. 9 months later a $2000 bill

My daughter was taken by ambulance to San Martin ER for being unresponsive and having seizures. Dr Lasry came in and said he was not going to treat her as she was faking and trying to get attention. She has chronic pseudotumor cerebri and has just recently had 2 vp shunt revisions there. She is known to have focal seizures and to become unresponsive . But this is now happening every couple of days. Her neurosurgeon is at that hospital also. He is by far the worst of the worst at ER medicine.

I took my daughter to the ER after we thought she swallowed some plastic. She was not showing any signs of pain, but Dr Lasry insisted on having her take an X-ray while stating that it was very unlikely the X-ray will image the plastic. I asked him why he thought we should have her take an X-ray if it is unlikely to show any results and he just shrugged and said that it can't hurt and that it will be a low cost procedure. The X-ray did not find anything and now I'm stuck with a $2,074.22 bill.
