Exceptional Care
I had a lumbar injection performed by Dr. Brokaw two weeks ago and I am feeling so much better than I had. The treatment I have received from Dr. Brokaw and Maryland Ortho has been EXCEPTIONAL.

Dr. Brokaw is terrific! He makes you feel like you are a full partner in your health care decisions. He explains the pros and cons of all options. Very supportive. If you are looking for someone who focuses on nonsurgical pain management, this is the doctor to see! I have been seeing Dr.. Brokaw for 6+ years and have never had to wait in the waiting room more than 10 minutes, and usually much less than that. Ditto for physical therapy--the PT department at their Bellona Ave. office is terrific. Because Dr. Brokaw works out of more than one office, I can't always get that 2 week followup in exactly 2 weeks at the Bellona office (it might be 3 weeks) but if I am willing to take an appointment to see him at one of the other offices, I can get that 2 week followup in 2 weeks.

I've seen Dr. Brokaw for YEARS now. He has worked with me to control back pain and avoid surgery on multiple occasions and for different discs that were bulging . He's personable, professional and knows his area really well. He administered two (spinal) shots over the years, and was ever so understanding and efficient while giving them. He made me much less nervous because I could trust him. He works with you and I would highly recommend him.

I have now seen Dr. Brokaw twice and have to say that he extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, takes a genuine interest in my health, wellness and helping me to return to a more pain-free life. I especially like that I do not feel rushed or feel that I am taking too much of his time during our appointments. Dr. Brokaw has been very helpful in going over my MRI results with me, exploring all of my options for pain management, and recommending appropriate courses of action for rehabilitation of my lower back. I wish every doctor provided the level of care and concern for my well being as Dr. Brokaw has done.

Dr Brokaw is an amazing doctor! He truly cares and will take the time to listen and go out of his way to help his patients. I’ve had 7 spinal injections with him and he made them stress free. He’s also helped my mom and another friend and they love him as well. He’s wonderful and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with OrthoMD!

I agree with the above comments made in regards to Dr. Brokaw’s practice. He works for insurance companies and writes the report as per what the insurance company asks him to write. He is biased and make discriminatory comments during his assessment. He says something and prepares completely differ report.

Dr. Brokaw is amazing!! I have Fibromyalgia, and finding a doctor that's been willing to listen to and help me has been a major chore. Dr. Brokaw seemed genuinely upset when I told him my history of not having many doctors work with me through this. But, he took up the baton and has helped me start to develop a plan to move forward through the fibromyalgia. Highly recommended!!

Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath? Dr Brokaw is bought and paid for by the insurance companies. When he examined me Dr Brokaw grimaced when he asked me what I did for a living. Dr Brokaw smiled at me like he understood the pain I was in. Dr Brokaw then proceeded to write a glowing report and release me back to work. Dr Brokaw is not on your side! no matter how much he acts like he understands the pain you're in. Do not trust Dr Brokaw. He is a sell out for a few bucks!
