Professional, honest, empathetic, dependable
Dr. Nagi has been remarkably professional and empathetic over the months we have been seeing her since my spouse's diagnosis. Her concern to begin treatment as fast as possible was evident during our first visit. She has continued to act as a cautious cheerleader with each incremental gain and has remained stoic as we have faced losses. She clearly doesn't want to give us false hope but answers every question we dare ask truthfully. If she is unfamiliar with something, she lets us know her discomfort with answering without a proper knowledge base. We feel as confident as we can on this journey, with her acting as one of the foundational pieces of the treatment plan. I chose 4 stars because I rather believe there is never a perfect person, not because I think of her as lacking something specific.

I would not recommend Dr. Nagi. My spouse was referred to her. Dr. Nagi was over half an hour late to the appointment (for which there were no apologies), and she rushed through the visit rather than taking the time to explain the therapy options and considerations. She suggested my spouse go elsewhere because she was inexperienced with the type of cancer my spouse has. While that in itself isn’t a bad thing (after all, you do want to go somewhere that is experienced), she didn’t take the time to discuss my spouse’s case and seemed to want to just end the visit at that point. When my spouse expressed frustration about the unproductiveness of the visit, Dr. Nagi (in what we guess was an attempt at sympathy) came across as patronizing. She was also negative about what possible treatment options there would be, which made my spouse feel very upset about her prognosis. She was also making statements that differed from what the other oncologists in her group had said.
