I found Dr. Knickelbein, to very caring and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what he was going to do, and answered all of my questions. I scheduled my next appointment with him rather than with another physician.

As a new patient, don't bother bringing along your medical history, because he is too busy to care. Could tell after 45 seconds into the appointment that he just wanted to test my eyes and didn't want to hear how my medical history might tie to my existing eye problems. He was VERY annoyed when I discussed medications and questioned how they might impact my eyes. Perhaps he has lost interest in ophthalmology or would rather work on research.
