Dr. Janie Myers, DO

It was more of an interrogation than a visit. The medical student helped me and treated me like an adult. The doctor however not so much. After posing a question she would cut me off and say you've told me that four times. Basically went there for help and got treated like a 12 year old. Wouldn't refer my worst enemy. But I'm sure she will collect her fee from the insurance, so cool...

I was charged for 'Diagnostic' rather than a 'Screening' on my colostomy resulting in a 4,000 dollar charge by my insurance. If she had pointed out that a fee would PROBABLY result from my procedure being designated as 'Diagnostics' rather than a 'Screening'. I later was informed that my insurance company would have paid 100% for a screening. Knowing in advance, I would have not have proceeded with her services. I feel she should have shared what the end results may have been for me financially so I could have made a determination as to if I wanted to proceed. The Hospital 'Regional Hospital' in Terre Haute charged a whooping $50,500 for their services. Possible the Doctor should reconsider the Hospitals she associates with. My beef is surely, she would have been aware of the potential fees to the patient and did not choose to make me aware of the possibility that I would end up owing a $4000 bill.

A bout with hemorrhoids sent me to Dr. Myers. A previous surgeon said night as well do surgery. I wasn't sure I wanted to endure surgery. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Myers quickly. She discussed options and recommended waiting a little longer and home self treatment. She was right! No surgery was needed but if I ever needed surgery I would go straight to Dr. Janie Myers. She's kind and down to earth too. No double booking patients either. I drove 90 miles round trip to ser Dr. Myers and it was well with it. Great staff too.
