The worst doctor ever!
I waited 90 minutes for my first appt and 45 mins for the second appt. I have a sports injury and she never touched me to see where it hurts, nor tested me in any way to assess the injury. She handwrite the prescription form for my MRI which is NOT proper protocol. I went for my MRI visit and they could not perform the test because the doctor did not use the proper form nor did she provide a code. I called multiple times to have her get the form and send it to the MRI place and they did not do it! Days have gone by and they have done nothing! This is the WORST doctor and staff on the planet. They do not care about a patient's health or well being! I urge people to find another doctor. I will never go back!

Doctor who cares
I have known Dr. Plaxe for years. First, she was my mom's doctor, then my husband's doctor, and now mine. I went there for a physical today and she took so much time going over all of my labs, my history, etc. Her PA June is very pleasant as well. If you're looking for a caring doctor, look no further! You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Plaxe Saved My Life! A Doctor That Truly Cares
I came to Dr. Plaxe very ill with a previous diagnosis of Rhematoid Arthritis (RA). I left my previous doctor because I kept getting sicker and felt I was getting the runaround for proper care. Dr. Plaxe was very attentive, very caring, evaluated my condition and realized that it was serious enough to insist that I immediately go to ER. If it was not for her insistence, I would not have gone. In ER, it was discovered that I had significant water around my heart due to the inflammation caused by the RA - it was life threatening. During my hospitalization Dr. Plaxe and her nurse June called to check up on me. I never had a doctor/nurse care the way they did, reaching out multiple times to check up on me. Once out of the hospital, I went to see Dr. Plaxe - she gave me her undivided attention, even helping with calling specialists that I needed to refer me personally. I can't thank Dr. Plaxe and June enough! They were proactive and thorough and they saved my life!

HORRIBLE DOCTOR! Mom is 89. We live in separate states. When I came in last year to accompany Mom to her doctor's appointments, etc. I knew something was wrong. In terms of Mom's cognitive abilities , Mom was going down hill. I am Mom's POA, & took her for a brain MRI Plaxe ordered which I later found revealed that Mom was in mild to moderate cog impairment, something Plaxe hid from me , after I returned home. Had this Dr. done her job, (physician do no harm) Plaxe would have given given Mom medication to delay the onset if dementia, but now a year later, thru new doctors, & the court of P.B. county, Mom has been found to be plenary incapacitated. In short, Mom has dementia with LATE onset of Altzheimers. Ironic, since during that appointment I went to with Mom to see Plaxe, though Plaxe took me aside to tell me to call her about Mom's failing memory, Plaxe denied me the MRI when I later requested it from Atlanta, & she neglected to diagnose Mom with dementia. SHAMEFUL!

This is not common to find in South Florida for your PCP. Most places it's in an out with no real exam. Dr Plaxe and her nurses are very thorough and focused on your general health. Because of this, sometimes the waits can be a little longer than anyone would really like, but considering the quality of care is so good, I really don't mind waiting at all (I find it better to schedule in advanced if you can and just get the first appointment of the day). From other reviews I've read, she is being noted as having poor bedside manner and doesn't look at you. She goes through your chart in great detail, asking questions along the way, so sometimes you're just sitting there as she fills everything out and reviews. Once you get to talking, she is very upfront and explains things in understandable detail. Bloodwork can be done in office, as can ultrasounds. MRI's and CT scans are available in the office next door. Very convenient!

Highly inappropriate Doctor!!! Completely, disengaged and lacks the basic ability to listen to the patient regarding medical issue. When brought to her attention she yells that she has a patient in the other room with chest pain. I honestly can’t imagine how this woman is a Dr.
