Dr. Janice Kutilek, MD

Regular PCP is in Hastings but due to my child’s respiratory distress, we brought her to SFMC. Dr Kutilek was on call. This is our second rodeo with Kutilek and it was the same as last. She is condescending, rude, arrogant. While deciding whether or not to dismiss our child today or tomorrow I said “I don’t know, I’m not the doctor” to which she replied “I’m not the mother.” She then proceeded to question whether or not I follow through with treatment for my daughters asthma diagnosis. Avoid her

I was naive in choosing a pediatrician for my child and scheduled well checks with Kutilek for a whole YEAR. I thought maybe it was me, but no. Every visit she was rude and condescending. Seemed annoyed that I brought my other children with me to the visit. I asked if I could view my child’s medical record or who I needed to see to get access to it. She avoided the question, wasn’t helpful. Once I accessed it, I was VERY displeased with the notes she left. Switched doctors immediately.

Extremely unpleasant and doesn't bother listening to your actual concerns. My child was extremely ill and the only test she ran was an iron level because we suggested it! She blamed the symptoms on too much dairy, when in reality this had nothing to do with what was going on.

After taking my 3 mo old son in for a rash he had all over his torso and back, she seemed to ignore everything I was telling her and automatically said it was an irritation to a scent. Wrong, we had been using the same products since he was born. She wasn’t even going to check his ears after I told her he seemed to have some discomfort there as well, and told me he’s not teething... he is. She is terrible. She will not listen, and pretty much acts like she is God’s greatest gift to earth.

She was very rude, would never recommend her.

She is very rude. She was the on-call DR when I called in. She was clearly annoyed and after I told her “that my 3 week old is having troubles breathing because of a stuffy nose and cold she caught from her 3 year old sister. What can I do/give her to help her?” She told me my questions could wait until the morning. My 3 week old is sick and I am worried and wondering how to help her and Dr. Kutilek was not understanding, not nice, nor helpful at all. She was rude and annoyed.

Horrible experience with her. Wouldn't listen to me at all. I am a mother of 4 so this isn't my first rodeo with a sick kid. Ended up having to take my 3 year old to Urgent Care so she would actually be taken care of. Please find a different Doctor for your kid. This one isn't worth your copay or time.

Terrible! Everything was fine until I asked for a second opinion. She yelled at me, in front of my child in the hospital. Very unprofessional.
