Dr. Janice Johnson, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Janice Johnson for more than 30 years. She is always kind, concerned, and pro-active. She solicits questions and provides clear answers. She suggest solutions to problems and will provide alternatives if the original solutions are not acceptable. Best of all, she has a sense of humor! I have recommended her to friends and they agree that she's a wonderful choice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson's for many years - she has cared for me during the various stages of my life (single, married, pregnant and post menopause). She is an excellent clinician, and stays abreast of current trends and healthcare research. She is always willing to work with her patients to achieve the best treatment options. She is relatable and a great communicator.

I received a positive STI test in my online chart along with minimal notes, so I called the office and asked to briefly speak with Dr. Johnson... I expected her to call me back at the end of the day or perhaps the next day, as is customary. Instead, the receptionist snapped "WHAT questions??" and stated that I could talk with the doctor only if I make another appointment and pay again. I was stunned to have someone in healthcare snap at me unprovoked. The verbal cruelty was disturbing and left me feeling vulnerable on top of worrying about my prognosis. When I finally heard from the doctor (via email) she was presumptuous, wrote condescending notes about how non-dirty and non-loose I am, and told me that patients "hear" only what they want to hear, which is why she doesn't talk over the phone. At this point I hadn’t even yet told her what my actual concerns were. I had questions based on my medical history of autoimmune disorders as well as what precautions to take with my partner.

I have been Dr. Johnson’s patient since 1992 when anxiously planning for a family and she guided me through a challenging conception, my pregnancies and healthy deliveries. I continue to be her patient as I progress in to menopause. She is the standard by which I compare all other doctors; caring, compassionate and dedicated to providing personalize care difficult to find elsewhere. My daughters are also now patients and I would not hesitate recommending her.

I LOVE Dr Johnson. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to doctors, but she is a total pro at alleviating it. Now that I live in St. Louis, I still plan on traveling up to Skokie for my annuals because I feel so comfortable with her.

My first time ever seeing a gyno, I was recommended Dr. Johnson by a family friend. She was so warm, helpful and really knowledgeable - she was open to any questions as well. HIGHLY recommended!
