Dr. Cooper is a nice person and I feel she means well. However, she does not treat Fibromyalgia effectively. I saw her for 6 years. We had the same conversation over and over again. She has only uses FDA approved meds for treatment which boils down to 3 meds. None of these worked effectively for me, so I was prescribed narcotics and forced to have visits every 4 months. I felt like a drug seeker. Come to find out, the narcotics were the cause of my opiate induced hyperalgesia. Please seek other MD opinions (non-rheumatologist) if you have Fibromyalgia. It is a neurological disorder, not rheumatological. There are other helpful therapies out there. Treat the brain and you will heal.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Cooper?
Dr. Cooper has been my rheumatologist for over 10 years. While she does type in her computer, she is listening to what you say and what you don't say. She knows her field inside and out, and I have tremendous respect for her. If you want a personality plus doctor, she is not it. But I'd rather have one that knows what she is doing and someone who I can trust any day of the week.
