Yearly skin checks are so important!
We've been seeing Dr Parker for years for yearly skin checks, she is thorough and kind. Yes, unless you are there first thing in the morning the wait is pretty long because she takes the time when she is in the room if she needs to. My family loves Dr P :)

If you want a Dermatologist that is just really excellent about caring for patients, and has the expertise, skill and knowledge to find the tiniest cancer, then this is the Dermatologist you want to have as your doctor. She found a pin size basal cell cancer in my right sideburn just across from my eye. It was a remarkable find. I doubt if many others could have found it. She also had to be careful since it was near my eye. Just last week she found another basal cell. You can be confident that you are being treated by one of the best in Salt Lake County and the State Of Utah. She is not sitting around waiting for patients, They flock to her because she is the best. If you ever wonder how to rate her on the "Star System," just think back to your high school or college days when the letters were used for grading. If I used the letters, I could only think of the letter "A" because she is "Amazing" and "Awesome" and I know that I will never go to anyone else.

It appears wait time is the criteria for the goodness of Dr. Parker. If I have to wait all day for her I will, because not only is she a wonderful doctor, but my favorite. I have a genuine affection for her because she saved my life when others didn’t listen. I am a Leukemia patient and very susceptible to melanoma. I have been in Dr. Parker’s care every 6 months for about 5 years now. I’m confident I won’t get skin cancer or melanoma on her watch but if I do, she’ll catch it early. She also saved me from a shingles agony by catching it early and prescribing the proper medication. I can’t say enough for her. The only possible complaint I have is she’s not my internist rather than my dermatologist. You won’t find a nicer, more competent, caring or professional doctor than Dr. Jana Parker. Too bad there are only 5 stars.

Wish I had read reviews before booking appointment. I too waited 45min. in waiting room then another 20min. in the exam room. She spent maybe 5 min. looking me over and froze one small spot on my face she said looked suspicious. Then I get my bill and she's charged me for destruction of pre cancerous lesion.... which my ins. would;t cover. I've been going to dermatologists for 40 years and usually have 5-8 keratinized spots frozen, it is ALWAYS included in the office visit!Never charged extra

Dr. Parker is really good....if you don't mind waiting at least 45 minutes in the reception area, every single time you go!

Dr. Parker is professional and competent. But I can not spend so much time waiting. This last time was awful. I stood two feet in front of two "receptionists" without the slightest glimmer of recognition. Not a glance or a smile. Finally another worker came from the back , took me behind the desk to another computer and signed me in. 50 minutes later I was finally called. 20 minutes later I left without seeing Dr. No one cared. No call at home. I won't return nor will my wife.

Went to Dr. Jana Parker on recommendation from my primary care physician for pre-cancerous skin treatment on face. Underwent painful red light treatment. No real results in following weeks. Went to another dermatologist who gave me treatment, except with cream, not laser light. Face is much clearer with better results. Have switched to this dermatologist and he's been great!

Every time I've been, I've had to wait at least 45 minutes to even get into a room. I needed several prescriptions. She forgot to send one of the prescriptions to the pharmacy and sent the other prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy so they couldn't be filled at the correct pharmacy.

She is nice when she is actually spending time with you. But its very frustrating when you have to wait 45mins to have a 5 minutes conversation with her. Pisses me off every time. Lucky I only go to see her once a yr. Probably the reason why I am not important to her.
