Excellent surgeon and person
I’m so incredibly lucky that Dr. Szatkowsky was on call when I was injured in an accident and needed surgery that day. He counseled me on the healing process throughout and said some really kind things that kept me going and optimistic about the future. It’s been years since the surgery and it’s as if I never got in the accident that day. Thank you for your dedication to the field and to your patients. The impact you had on my life was substantial. I think about it often when I play with my children.

I have never had such a caring doctor, he made the worst event in my life bearable. My accident was very bad, i had many compound fractures, and with my age of 82 i am now able to live a normal life. It is so nice to know that Methodist Hospital has such amazing doctors on their staff. Sincerely Danka Toro

Read the other reviews and agree. I did have to wait a while to see him. I was impressed that he apologized about the wait. He didn't push surgery at all which I respect. Will be back to see him in the future if needed.

Excellent care tending to a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula from being hit by a car on my bicycle in Chicago 2012. He placed an intermedullary rod in the left tibia, and I have had no complications to date other than some superficial numbness on lower patch of skin. I could not have asked for greater skill in this repair work! Thank you Dr Szatkowski! You are one of the greatest in your field!
