We have been going to Dr. Lukas for years. Very knowledgeable in all aspects of the eye. Helped save my vision after a high blood pressure stroke.

Dr Lucak is an older gentleman and sort of set in his ways. I found him somewhat helpful and answered a few questions, but there was a limit. He's a curmudgeon type with limited time for his patients. The main reason i rated this a one star was his staff. The office manager and techs were rude and callous with me as a new patient. Also, they wanted to charge me $30 for a copy of my chart, but charts for doctors are free. Shows where their loyalties are, office not patient friendly at all !

Do not use Dr Lukac unless you obtain a second opinion. My optometrist advised me 2 years ago that I had the start of cataracts but they wouldn't be 'ripe' for some years. Thought it was time to obtain a surgeons view. Dr Lukac drew me a picture indicating damage all around both eyes and tried to set me up for surgery to remove the lenses. I said I wanted a second opinion and the next surgeon agreed with my optometrist saying they were tiny and I wouldn't need surgery for years! Very suspect.

He seems to know what he is doing, but he is a poor communicator and was not very accepting of my questions. He was very brusque.
